Best Steak on DDP using only one credit

My dad is a big steak fan. We are going down during free dining and I would like to make reservations for dinner one night for him to get a good steak. I would prefer to only have to use one TS credit if possible. Any recomendations?

I would do lunch at Le Cellier and get the mushroom fillet. For dinner I would probably opt for Coral Reef.

Just there a week ago and couldn't believe we got a walkup to Le Cellier for 4:30 on a Saturday during the Wine Fest and we were there earlier in the week with a ADR to get the mushroom filet both times, second would be The Wave filet and also very good was the grilled sirloin with chiaquiles at San Angle.

Normally, I would say Le Cellier, but this last trip, WCC had a better steak. We ate at both places.

DH really liked his steak at Coral Reef.

If you are going while LeCellier is 1 TS then that is a good place. Almost never a open reservation but you can try to get an adr.

But the one steak I always have at WDW is at Whispering Canyon. It is a ribeye that is so tender you can cut it with your fork. Very tasty and not fatty, it is so wonderful....mmmm I am drooling just thinking about it.

WCC is 1 TS and very close to MK (love the boat ride over).

I do hear that Turf Club Grill has a wonderful steak. Haven't been there yet, but it is at SSR.

I'd go to Le Cellier, but for the NY Strip. That's what our server recommended and we're so glad she did; it was truly delicious.

I think that the Turf Club at SSR has one of the best steaks anywhere in Disney, even better than LeCellier!!!

GFC is incredible...DH loved the NY Strip that he had and it was huge!

I agree with this. Turf Club is one of the best 1TS places on the plan and I thought the steak here was much better than the ones I have had at Le Cellier.

Can't say it's the best, but I had a really good steak at Kona Cafe. Between that, the yummy bread w/ macadamia nut butter and the chocolate fondue dessert, I was very happy!!!

I always enjoy getting the steak dishes at Kona Cafe, too. The other place to get really tasty steak -- several pieces at a time as you want it -- is with the dinner at 'Ohana.

Starting 3/1/11, LeCellier will be 2 TS for dinner and 1 TS for lunch. I wonder if this will cause the lunch menu to be somewhat downgraded.

They don't serve that same Steak anymore at Kona cafe....I just checked the menu and it's not there???? But ya I know which one you're referring to because it's DBF's fav!!!

I agree, I found the steak at Captains Grill to be much better than the steak at Le'Cellier. As for other 1Ts which I like their steaks better than Le'Cellier are Coral Reef and the steak at Whispering Canyon Cafe.
