I have eaten at shulas and ys before but have never ordered the steak. Wondering every ones opinion on what restaurant has the best steak.

Also on a another note, I was originally planning on eating at artist point but they change the menu. I've never eaten Buffalo before wondering if anybody has opinion of eating it before and how did it taste?

Buffalo is excellent, I really like the consistent quality Artist Point has put out on their buffalo entree. Buffalo in general is very, very tender and has a 'sweeter', lighter taste than beef.

As for the 'best steak', you'll find that people will (rightfully so) name Shula's. Another benefit for adults looking for a night away from the kids, is that Shula's probably has the least amount of children and has the more upscale dining feel than the other Disney locations.

However, that doesn't mean the other's are going to be noticeably inferior.
Yachtsman has never really disappointed beyond an overcooked medium-rare once and a pretty fat strip. So that's what, 2 out of maybe 10 visits. I usually go with the peppercorn brandy sauced New York strip there.
Citricos' oak-grilled filet has always been perfectly cooked for us (albeit I find filet's too lean and lack the flavor from that extra fat in a strip).
Le Cellier - despite the usual bashing and more park-climate than the signature dining climate, Le Cellier has always been one of my personal favorites. I'm a beef snob, we regularly visit Del Friscos, Capital Grille, Butcher & Singer, Barclay Prime, etc. and I really find that the bashing Le Cellier gets is undeserved. I'm a medium-rare guy, and they've never once overcooked my steak. However, Yachtsman, Flying Fish, and Shulas all have at some point in past visits.

I'd go with:

Shula's
Jiko
Le Cellier
Yachtsman (moved to #4 for me after an overly fatty strip this January and an overcooked strip in the Fall)
California Grill
Flying Fish

Flying Fish was my favorite until they got rid of the wagyu filet. They replaced it with a strip cut and it wasn’t very good. Now they don’t offer it at all but maybe it’s out of season.

Shula’s is the best on WDW property.

The best filet (and other steaks) are found a very short distance, technically off property at the Bull & Bear restaurant in the Waldorf Astoria Bonnet Creek. Yes, better than any of the Disney owned signature restaurants and yes, better than Shulas.

I've heard a lot about Bull & Bear. I need to try it sometime.

THIS!!! B&B is a true top-tier steakhouse and one of the best restaurants in Orlando (currently #3 on TripAdvisor out of 3000+ restaurants). The dry aged Prime NY strip is soooo good.

Shula's, while very good, is just your typical corporate steakhouse along the lines of Morton's, Ruth's Chris or Capital Grille. My other issue with Shula's is that they don't serve true USDA Prime steaks. They have their own designation, "Shula's Cut," which is marketing-speak for "not USDA Prime." Still, it is a very competent and consistent restaurant, especially compared to the inconsistent Disney-owned places.

I've been lucky at Jiko and always enjoy their steaks; but have had mixed results at Artist Point and Yachtsman. Haven't tried STK or Boathouse yet. Boathouse is part of Chicago's famous Gibson's, so I expect that their steaks are good.

Our Recommendations:

. . . entree:.. Steak Mary Ann, Blackened Mahi Mahi
. . . dessert:. Key Lime Pie
.
NOTE1: Shula's is at the Dolphin Resort, thus a little inconvenient unless coming from DHS or Epcot. The eatery is not owned by Disney as Shula's is a chain. This eatery does not disappoint for meats/veggies sand has arguably has the best steaks at WDW, but we find the lobster and salmon to be slightly below par for the reputation and price of Shula's. Be aware that Shula's is pricey and not on DDP. But, the portions are large; the wife and I always split entrees. We patronize only five eateries at WDW, and three of the eateries are not owned by Disney. Shula's is one of our favs, along with Il Mulino and Todd English Blue Zoo.
.
NOTE2: Our opinions of non-steak options at Shula's:
. . . Mahi-Mahi - especially blackened (make certain to order it double blackened!), HIGHLY recommended
. . . Florida Red Snapper - huge, tasty, recommended
. . . Salmon - pass it by and go to Artist Point for Copper River Salmon (mid-May thru early-June)
. . . French Cut Chicken - give it back to the French
. . . Australian Lobster Tail - tasty, but not outstanding
. . . Maine Lobster - whole lobster is whole lobster, only average
.
NOTE3: We requested and received our favorite waiter, Joey. (Many think Perry is one of the best Servers at WDW and he even remembers our favorite drinks and appys, but he transferred from the Shula tables to Shula bar. You can still eat in the bar area and get Perry! Perry is so good, he even has his own Facebook page with over 300 faithful Shula regular diners). The other great WDW Servers we recommend are Ryan (Tusker House), Michael (Kona) and Tobi (Turf Club). .

It had made a comeback from slipping quality, but the new chef is changing things FOR THE WORSE.
For our 05/06/2018 dinner, we sent three entrees back to the kitchen in succession!

ummmmm - gotta ask? Your 05/06/2018 Dinner? As today is 04/11/2018 ...
Were you referring to 2017? AP can indeed go up, down, sideways... so dates are important :).

With all this talk about AP, I wonder if I should go with my gut and maybe switch from AP to YS instead. Just a thought.

The best "reasonably priced" steak is at Spice Road Table! I had the most amazing steak there during my last trip. Not quite as good as the one I have at the Yachtsmen Steakhouse. But pretty darn good! Plus, if you book your table right, you can watch Illuminations.

Jiko, fabulous steaks but this next time I'm going for the Elk loin.
Le Cellier, best New York Strip.
Artist Point, the buffalo is awesome. I've had it 3 times, 2 times, tender and succulent, and the other they over cooked it way past my medium rare, still good but a bit dryer. Should have sent it back, but everyone else was eating.
Yachtsman, great steaks but it's too darn loud there, even at 8:30pm.

Don't ask me why, I don't care for Shula's, the restaurant, the vibe... the experience didn't live up to the price.

I've reserved both of these restaurants this upcoming trip and it'll be the first time we'll eat at either.
I'm hoping I can pick my steak at YS since I don't want it too thin or too fatty. Not planning to have beef @ AP but am sure the man will;).

I wuvvvvv the Porterhouse @ Boathouse (ate there twice) and might order a piece o' beef when we go for CG's Sunday brunch. Jiko's hunk of roasted beef is divine and the man enjoyed the filet mignon at FF.

Have always had good steak at Yachtsman and Jiko. We did Shula's once and were terribly disappointed, maybe one day we will give it another try.

I have to agree with the overall aspect of Artist Point :(
It's a safe visit for me because I'm content getting the same thing - the buffalo and the mushroom soup appetizer. Beyond that, the rest of the offerings have declined greatly :(

Although I have not been to Shula's, I've eaten a at most of the signature restaurants. Shockingly, probably the best steak I have had at Disney was at Mama Melrose's. At least for the value it was very good.

The Boathouse at Disney Springs is pretty good. The Wave at the contemporary is a hidden gem in my opinion. I personally will never go back to Le Cellier again, so overpriced.

I do like Shula's and Cali Grill, although I wasn't a huge fan of the fillet with BBQ sauce now. That was a little strange to me.
