Can someone tell where the best steak is on Disney property? I'm thinking its either Le Cellier or Yachtsman Steakhouse. I've never ate at either one so opinions are welcomed, or turn me onto something besides these two. TIA!

Best steak on property and we've enjoyed it every time we've gone.

Enjoy!!

I've eaten at Le Cellier a few times and have had the filet each time. And while it was awesome, my favorite steak was actually over at the Coral Reef in Epcot.

1. Shula's
2. Cali Grill
3. Chefs De France
4. Le Cellier

We've also had steak at Mama Melrose's and Shutters and I can't recommend either of them.

Sorry haven't tried the Yachtsman yet.

Another vote for Shula's--my next vote would be Yachtsman and then LeCellier...never eaten at CG.

The filet at le cellier is amazing...I could have cut it with a fork!

Also a big fan of the teriyaki steak at kona. Ordered it not expecting much and loved it!

This has got to be SHULA'S nothing comes close to the quality or the price $$$$. I guess you get what you pay for ?:scared1:

We have never tried Shula's, but we have tried Le Cellier and Yachtsman, and the best steak we have had on Disney property was at Hollywood Brown Derby. It was perfectly cooked and delicious.

In my opinion, the hands down winner is Yachtsman Steakhouse. We've eaten there a number of times and it's been nothing short of awesome every single time. A good measure of good places to eat is finding "where the locals go" and I've read in a number of places that the Yachtsman has a very loyal following of locals.

We ate at the Yachtsman 2 weeks ago based on the rave reviews here and elsewhere. The only thing I can really say is don't believe the hype.

The place is certainly no Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, or even your average independent chophouse.

I ordered a New York Strip and my wife and her father split a Porterhouse.

The strip was extremely fatty. Even the leaner portions were very chewy.

The porterhouse was, according to the waiter, the tastiest cut in the house. The reality didn't really live up to the expectations.

In hindsight we probably each should have ordered the filet mignon.

The mashed potatoes were dry and not very flavorful.

My son ordered the kids pasta and marinara (minus meatballs). His dish of pasta came with a meager tablespoon or so of sauce so we had to request additional sauce to make the dish edible (the bulk of the pasta was dry).

The only bright part of the meal was the bread. Very tasty :)

All in all, we've had better steaks from chain restaurants like Texas Roadhouse (who allow you to pick your cut of beef before they cook it). And to get a better steak from a chain than what is supposed to be a top-tier Disney restaurant is pretty sad.

Maybe we'll try Shula's next year, but the Yachtsman is definitely crossed off of our list.

Yachtsman would get my vote. I will admit however that I haven't tried Shulas but expect to do that sometime simply because of the great reviews I see of it. Also had an excellent filet at Bull & Bear, which is technically not on Disney property.

Le Cellier's steak wouldn't even enter the competition - its just not good enough to qualify.

I have to agree with those who've said Yachtsman. Although I enjoyed Le Cellier both times I've been there, I wasn't "wowed." I enjoyed every course at Yachtsman last November- and thought my Porterhouse was perfect! I tasted my mom's filet and it was great too.

We skipped it in 2011 because of reading bad reviews in favor of Hollywood Brown Derby- but after eating there in 2012, it's our one must repeat for this summer.

That all being said, I also enjoyed the filets at California Grill (hope they have a comparable one when they reopen) as well as Hollywood Brown Derby.

Depends on what cut you are looking for. Multiple locations will have a strip or filet which are generally of similar quality. Yachtsman will have more cut options. Shulas has a great variety of cuts and taste/quality is much better than any Disney location, in my opinion.

I have not eaten at Yachtsman's yet (have ADR for next trip), but my favorite thus far has been California Grill.

Best kept secret at Disney, The steak at the Coral Reef is second to none. We regularly eat at Ruth Christ and Peter Lugers in NY and we have been blown away every time we have steak at Coral Reef. Who would think a seafood restaurant would have the best steak.

This!

Although I like Yatchsman a ton, Coral Reef is a hidden gem. The Steak here is excellent.

I'm still craving the Brown Derby steak from a year ago. My dad is a butcher and it was the best steak I have ever eaten. It's very pricey, but worth every bite!
