Just booked a "AAA" room for BC August 13-18 for $267.75 a nite...
Gave up waiting for AP rates(Secretly, I'm still checking ever day..Tee HEE!)
I have never stayed here, Been to Poly, AKL(all concierge),POR and loved all of them..Now I have "Teenagers"...3 of them to be exact(all DS's) and I'm
nervous that we will like it there. Does anyone have a favorite room number I could request? There wasn't any waterviews available at this rate, so I'm hoping to get a view that's not looking at a airconditioner condenser, wall or parking lot...Any Opinions or ideas?? Thanks in advance for your priceless help!!

You will have a WONDERFUL time! It's pretty easy to get a standard view room at BC that will have a good view and be especially convenient to Epcot. Just ask for a room "on the Epcot side" of the resort and you can't really lose---if you want to get specific, you can ask for any room with a 5 as a second digit (e.g., 2541-2nd floor; 1586-1st floor). The 600 rooms are more convenient to Stormalong Bay and the lobby, BUT most of them overlook roofs, parking, and bus stop.

The following link will help you a lot, as it gives room locations and numbers for each floor:

Have fun planning:cool1:

We just returned from BC last week and had a standard view room. At check in, I requested a full balcony and was given room 2579, which is borderline water view but considered standard view because if you look straight ahead you will see BC rooms. Imagine a "U" shape with the sides of the "U" being standard views and the bottom of the "U" being 100% water view. So if we went on our balcony and looked to the left, we had a great view of the water. Look at that Disney Zone site above and you will see all the standard view rooms on each floor and what I did was take note of the standard room number patterns that are on the water side of the BC. In the meantime, here is a picture of our view if we looked to the left:

We do! It's our second favorite resort, Poly being #1. In fact, it's almost a tie between the two. If a full balcony is important to you and your family, be sure to request it because some of the balconies are standing room only. What we always do is request the following on our reservation and we fax it in about 3 days prior - we ask for "a room with a nice view other than a parking lot or rooftop and a full balcony or patio." Our requests have always been granted. Here's a great site that has a map for the beach club rooms:

You'll love the Beach Club!

...because you may end up taking it yourself!!!

My wife and I were planning an anniversary stay at the Swan for 5 nights starting Aug. 9. The last 2 nights were going to be our "splurge" in a Swan Studio Suite...about $270 per night with the Teacher Discount. These 2 nights were a replacement for a spring weekend BC stay we had to cancel (we've never stayed there before).

WELL---when I replied to PamNC today offering advice on a BC Standard Room location (though I've never stayed there, I had done all the pre-planning research), I started longing for the BC...and I just replaced our last 2 nights in a Swan Suite with 2 BC nights at the same AAA rate as PamNC's:rotfl2: :cool1:

In my view, if you have to move to a new room anyway, you might as well move (hey, we can WALK if we want) to a new resort. For me, two resorts is double the fun:dance3:

So, anyway, thanks Pam NC...and now I have to go follow my own advice regarding a room request!

Great Advice! Thanks so much for the Room link...
I had never seen that website! I will definitely fax my requests
in 3 days in advance. I've always done that before and it seems to work!
I'm still waiting on those AP rates...But I'm pretty happy with the AAA
rate for the BC..Can't Wait!!

We've had Room 2528 a few times in the past ten years. It has a full balcony and looks on to the forest between the BC and Epcot. When we last stayed there, the trees were short enough that we could see (and hear!) Illuminations from our balcony every night.

This is a great thread! I'm getting so excited. We're trying BC for the first time in August. We're Poly fans, but wanted to try the BC, so we got a good rate and are going for our Anniversary.

Thanks everyone!
