Best spot to view Illuminiations

We've viewed it from what seems like everywhere in Epcot over the years, but we are bringing 1st timers. Where is the best place to stand to see mostly everything. What time do you recommend we stake it out?

It's hard to find a bad place. But lately our favorite has been just off to the front of the Nine Dragons. There are even benches there if you are early enough.
I always take into consideration which way the wind is blowing that night.

I'm partial to the stairs at Canada. And it's closer to the exits than a lot of other countries.

DW and I like a couple of places. The bridge between Great Brittain and France and then there is the area just in front of Germany. In Germany there are several benches along the edge of the rail fence if you get there early.

The other place that DD13 and I like is on the Prominade between the two gift shops as you are coing from Future World. Drawback is that quite often this area requires you to sit for a period of time on concrete.

We like the balcony of Japan.

My hubby and I have sent it from several places now (Germany, UK, Morocco, entrance to World Showcase, etc) but our favorite by far was by China. We staked out a spot about 45 minutes before and just got some counter service and ate until the show began. I think we could have showed up later than that and still gotten a good spot though. It was wonderful!!!
