Best Spot for Spectomagic?

personally, me and the wife like it in frontier land. there are some nice areas you can sit and watch if you get there early enough::MickeyMo

I'll second Frontier Land. We get sandwiches at Pecos Bill's and sit on the edge of the porch to hold spots for the parade. We usually go about an hour before the parade. Having dinner while we wait makes the time go quicker. Be prepared to defend your territory as the parade time approaches. If you turn sideways you won't be able to regain the space to turn back around ;) . Another good tip is to make friends with your fellow waiters. It makes the wait more fun and you can united and form a parade viewing area barrier!

I've only seen it from Town Square, which is where it starts and I enjoyed watching it there. One time I had to stand to watch it and another time we had spots sitting on the curb. I definitely liked sitting a lot better! We sat out in front of Tony's on the curb. Great view! ::yes::

I like to get to the castle forecourt about an hour 1/2 before the parade and stake out a seat on the curb facing the walkway to Liberty Square. The parade turns there, so you get fabulous views of the front and back of each float! We usually try to time it so one stays with the seats and the other goes to get dinner at a counter service restaurant (um, this is after one has gone to get us fastpasses on Philharmagic for after the parade...)

Our favorite was a table and chairs along the railing of the Main Street Train Station overlooking the circle at the end of the parade route. Great bird's eye view and chairs to boot, plus you're close to the exit so you can make a quick getaway to beat the crowds when the parade is over! It's another place where you have to get there early (I'd say at least 60 minutes) and be prepared to defend your space from the obnoxious morons who will try to wedge their way in at the last minute.

We got a great spot a few weeks ago, right in front of Sleepy Hollow just past the bridge. We got funnel cakes and sat right down in the front row!

We sat here, once, and it was great. We did have to stake our claim early, but it was so nice to walk right out of the park ahead of most of the crowds.

My favorite spot is to get to Casey's about an hour and a half before - you can load up on hotdogs, fries, and sodas while waiting. It is the perfect spot for Spectromagic and Wishes.

I like Town Square or Main Street, it seems more magical there. We've found last minute standing spots right where it comes out in Town Square. In Frontierland, the Fantasia "bat float" does not open up because it is too narrow.

Some where close to CC or the ME is good for my DF. Last time i was at those spots, hardly ne one there. All the DC on which everside of the street ur on, will stop at your fam. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc 10th time to Disney in less then a week:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We always sit up on top of the train station. Get there early, pull up a chair right in front of the railing.
By that time, your feet are screaming for a rest anyway.
You have no one in front of you and you are close to the exit.
But as stated above, someone will try and "nudge" their way in front of you if you are not firm. And trust me, it is not ALWAYS children!!

In front of "Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe" is a great spot- a very small area in the shape of a triangle is created when the ropes are put up along the route- only room for a few families::yes::

all depends on how busy it is. we went one time during busy season and got there 90 mins before and it was fine, but only cuz we were there early enough, in slower season we were there about 10 mins before and it wasnt bad either.

I much prefer Main Street. We watched the Christmas Parade from Fronteirland last year and it's just not the same as sitting in the festive atmosphere on Main Street. As we were walking out in December, the parade was still going on Main Street, and it looked so much more magical there than in Fontierland.

I think a great spot is on that little island where the Friendship Statue is on. Sitting along that circle is great! When I went a few weeks ago my father was in a wheelchair and they had a special section for people in wheelchairs so we got a perfect spot of the parade on that island.
