Hello everyone.
I will be staying at the BCV in Feb and I have never been there before. Does anyone have any recommendations for where to request a room? I would like to be as close as possible to the epcot walkway. But I may also want a room on the ground floor near the pool so that while my kiddies are asleep DH and I can venture outside for a drink with our baby monitor and have a little more room to move around. I'm not even sure they will accomodate a request for a specific location.
Any suggestions would be helpful. TIA!!

your 2 requests are different areas of BCV.

The rooms closest to the WS walkway are part of the hotel, not the villas. But you could request a "wooded view room" to be closer to the walkway.

Your better bet would be a "lower level pool view room" which would give you the option of walking out from your room to the pool - there is direct access from your studio room if on the 1st floor. Bring along your baby monitor and have some adult time outside.

you can't request specific room numbers, but you can request a view.

good luck!

Thanks for the info! I will definitely request a lower level pool view! Thanks!

We too are staying in a studio villa at the Beach Club in February. They let us request a view as well as a non-smoking unit when we booked. The laundry facility is on the fourth floor (if you are interested) and the walk to the International Gateway (the bridge over to Epcot's World Showcase) is so accessible that we are afraid to stay anywhere else. :rotfl2:

Oh, if the kids enjoy baths, you may also want to request a non-handicapped accessible unit. The handicapped-accessible studio villas only have showers!

See you there!

Kathy :thumbsup2

Remember, those are only requests and are not guaranteed.

The villas on the first floor have shrubbery around the patio area, so you really are not supposed to go through the shrubs for pool access. Both doors to the outside from the corridors are right next to the pool.

I know they are just requests. I am keeping my fingers crossed however that the requests are granted. They told me we have a pretty good shot at getting what we want because we are going during value season when they aren't too booked up. We shall see. :)

In the past I'd vote for a high level pool view but with all of the stinky smoke wafting on our balcony we've found that smoke rises, so the lower floors are better. That way you only get smoked off your balcony when cross breezes are involved.

Ah, the clasic setting up for dissapointment. Seems WDW and DVC have really mastered this technique lately.

BCV is always booked. Value season doesn't make a dent in occupancy, other than fill it up all the way. Fewer points, more members booking the BCV.

I agree and see my above post regarding setting up for a dissapointment.

Can't wait to see this post upon return.

Some of the pool view rooms at BCV are as close to the walkway as any wooded view room.

In general, the lower the room number the closer to the walkway.

But as others have said, BCV stays busy. I would be sure to decide which request is most important to you and list them in order. Have fun. :sunny:

I'm confused, are you referring to my return???????????????? If so, I would honestly be happy if they stuck my family and I in a broom closet. Okay, maybe that's a bit exaggerated :rotfl: ....but seriously being there with my family, visiting the parks and being thankful for another family vacation together with two healthy children is all I am looking forward to.

What I said was I requested these amenities. If I get them, that would be awesome but if I don't get any of them I wouldn't be disappointed. Being able to afford the Beach Club again is just a dream come true. I feel truly blessed for that.

Kathy :)
