Buying a 150+ year old house on 2 acres of land that sold for 10 grand back in 1979. Gutted it. Jacked it up and poured a basement, all new electrical and plumbing, tore out the interior walls and now it’s all open space. Tore the old barn down and built a huge pole barn with a 3/4 bath. Did all the work ourselves.

Paving our driveway 3 years ago! So much easier for DH to snowplow.

in addition-the electric heated mats that create an entirely snow free walkway from the end of our driveway, up our front steps to our front door. snow can be 4 feet deep on the adjacent ground but while i appreciate what dh can do with the snowplow and snowblower on the concrete i feel much steadier on my feet having that walkway (and the delivery drivers love it).

4. $128 for a pair of lululemon leggings (I was surprised by this, but OMG love them)
5. $160 for a pair of OnCloud tennis shoes, I work 12 hour shifts as a nurse and these are awesome!
6. $450 for a VIP package to the New Kids on the Block reunion tour in 2009. 2nd row tickets, BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE.

This year these where a trip to Europe and hiring movers. Both decisions were worth money I spent!The trip was amazing! We finally had the vacation after all that Covid stuff. That was great! The next reasonable expenditure of money was related to moving company. Our office relocated in September. We hired expomovers to help us. This was not the first time I addressed them and I made sure again that it's better to hire a decent company rather than risk or DIY.
