Best source for Park Hours, EMH Changes?

My FP window is approaching and I'm starting to stress a bit about what changes Disney might implement in the last month or two before we arrive. Earlier open? Later close? Flip-flopping EMH days? All of it will have an impact on our Touring Strategy.

I realize we'll probably have to make some adjustments, so I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on where to find notifications of schedule changes?

The links to the old Travel Agent calendars seem to have moved - are they still available?

Even those only give you the current info - where can I find news of what (if anything) has changed?

Thanks!

You won't really find news or alerts anywhere unless touringplans is doing that as apart of memberships. I don't use them so am not really sure if that is one of the serves they provide.

Even after we booked our fast passes the hours for parks changed. So I guess just go with what they are posting and you can always change things around later for those not hard to get fast passes.

Park hours were extended by two hours for certain days while we were there last week!

Just check the MDE website would be the best thing. Other than that, check here.

Anticipate park hours staying open slightly later than what their probably scheduled right now.

The old travel agent links have moved. I believe robo has those links, but they are still accessible if you need those

Try not to stress out over it. They do extend park hours all of the time but that doesn't really hurt our plans much, the only thing that can mess us up a little is if they switch EMH. They don't seem to change EMH often but it does happen occasionally and if it does things will still be ok.

1 I think to many people stress out about Turing plans Disney is busy but for the most part you will not notice a big difference in park crowded from one day to the next ( unless you are going over a major holiday)

I would pick parks bast on what you like. Do you like to start your vacation at the MK do you like to end your vacation at HS, and then go from there

I would have my FP back to back this way if you do decide to park hope ( and you can add this to your ticket ) then you can if you find the park you are it is crowded ( and chances are the other park will be too) you can go back the the hotel and swim ( it really is a lot of fun they will do games and fun things at the main pool) or Disney springs then head back to the parks latter in the day.

park hour do get extended ( even some times an hour before you think they should close you will hear the ____ ( MK) hours have been extended today and the time they will close.

my last advice is something easer said then done but DO NOT STRESS OUT take a deep breath and tell you self it will be fine the only difference what park you go to one day or another might mean 1 less ride, but it could also mean that you run into a CM and that CM is looking for the grand marshal for the afternoon parade, or the CM that has a pile of FP in there pocket and want to give them to someone, or a VIP setting for the parade of fire works, ( 2 of the things I just listed happened tome) or any number of things that if you were at another park that day you would not have gotten

I like to use The Dibb to keep up with park hours changes. On the desktop view of their site, you can sign up for alerts and enter a specific date range. When the park hours change, you'll get an email that tells you which park the hours changed for, and what the change was. The alert is for all of the Florida parks that they track, though, so there have been a few times that I saw an email and got excited, only to find out that Aquatica or Seaworld decided to close early on a few days during my upcoming trip. Still got all of the WDW alerts in a timely fashion, though, so I consider that to be worth a few irrelevant alerts.

TREMENDOUS! This is exactly the type of thing I was looking for... (and thanks to Robo for the new Calendar links)...

Also Touring Plans (you may need a subscription) and WDW Prep School (free) sends emails when hours change.
