We have purchased a meal plan for our upcoming trip and wondered what are some of the best treats to get at disney? Not worried about the whole bang for your buck;) but more what can't you leave disney without getting?
So far I have heard that Gastons tavern is a must for the cinnamon roll and lefous brew.... Give me some more ideas please? Any park will do:)

I love this place! Not only does the aroma entice you, but the confections are great. My favorite is the milk & dark chocolate covered caramels with sea salt. They are about a 2" square and 3/4" thick. Can't wait until I can dive in this weekend! :cool1:

Good Review Here

Just had exactly that yesterday!!! Our favorite.

Most disconcerting though was that they were making the caramel popcorn while we were waiting in the line. The aroma was intoxicating.

build your own rice krispie treat at Goofy's Candy Company in DTD. They are so delicious!

Some of our favorites:
MK:
-Fruit & Nutella Waffle (Sleepy Hollow)
-Dole Whip Float (Aloha Isle)

-Karamel Corn (Karamelle Kuche - Germany)

DHS:
-Peanut Butter & Choc Cupcake, Butterfinger Cupcake (Starring Rolls)

AK:
-White Elephant Cupcake, Brownie Paw (Kusafiri Bakery)

Popcorn - any park.

Dole Whip
Pretty much anything at Candy Cauldron in DTD
Mac and cheese at Sommerfest (Germany)
Kaki gori (Japan)
Beignets (Port Orleans FQ but may be in France and/or Tomorrowland)
and those chocolate peanut frozen bananas...YUM

My family and I prefer simple.... our clear winner is the Mickey ice cream bars. They are simply simple and a bite of heaven!

Check out Episode 54: Our Favorite Snacks, on the MouseQuest podcast. Lots of great snack ideas and snacks to avoid.

My favorite is the Churritos with Carmel sauce from La Cantina de San Angel in Mexico at Epcot.

Since you're already thinking about Gastons Tavern I must mention that my DH and DD are really thrilled with the roasted pork shank. Depending on what you feel like at the time, instead of craving sweet, they review it everytime as, "salty, fatty, roasty, meaty goodness", their favorite alternative to the roasted turkey leg. Real good when your body may be craving protein and sweating out the salt!

The fruit stand over near Soarin, if I remember correct and it's still there, had wonderful apples. They were cold and tender and big, they looked like Honeycrisps, but I don't know for sure. What a nice pick-me-up.

Nothing puts the pep in our step like a big hot pretzel with mustard and a tall beer in Germany at Epcot. The gals working the pretzel cart were very nice ladies our last time there and we laughed a bunch.

Have fun,
:cool1:

We've only done the dining plan once, but...

If you want something not sweet, we like the Yak & Yeti counter service at DAK. An order of fried rice is considered a snack - pair that with an egg roll and you really have lunch! Last visit (just got home a week ago) DD and I ordered that, an order of egg rolls, and honey chicken all to share. It was way too much food!

If you're strolling along the Boardwalk, the bakery used to offer pastries as a snack option.

DOLE WHIP!

Also, the Carrot Cake Cookie in the Writers Stop in the Studios is absolutely delicious. I'm sure it is also absolutely not good for you, but hey.

My favorite thing to do with snack credits is to use them for breakfast so we don't have to pay out of pocket. You can get a whole fruit, a fruit cup, or a danish.
