Hey DISers so im planning my trip and I was thinking of snacks I bring from home that fight off hunger pretty well... and im talking snacks for adults haha. I wish a packet of crackers could still keep me full like it does the little ones Hahahaha. Any tips would be appreciated :D

I like cheese sticks, granola bars, bagals, and my favorite those Lil Debbie's oameal cream cookies individually wrapped. We buy a lot of snacks in the parks too. I love the ginger bread cookies at starring rolls, churros, dole whips, and pop corn.

The reduced fat cheese crackers with peanut butter are excellent for snacks especially during food and wine festival. Lol

We also pack a couple gallon size ziplocks of homemade rice krispie treats for breakfast on the run.

I'm a huge fan of Target's Monster Mix with nuts and M&M type candy! Also, I love the popcorn at Disney and DH loves those turkey legs. I usually get a cinnamon roll at the Main street bakery also. And finally, I'm a nut for those chocolate dipped rice crispy Mickey heads. Yum!

DH carries a back pack so we take a fair amount of snacks with us. We pack one of those cheap plastic pencil boxes that you can get at walmart right now for like 50 cents, the bigger one not the narrow one. We pack it with peanut butter cheese crackers, granola bars, crystal light packets and sometimes pop tarts. And we take a some sort of nuts with us since the protein fills us up. Emerald brand is great to take because thier containers are plastic and they have a decent varienty.

We like the pencil box because it keeps everything together and from getting broken, plus as we empty it we can fill it back up with the cookies or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that our younger DS doesn't eat at our meals. Then a half an hour after we eat when he suddenly decides that he does want to eat we can give him those. :thumbsup2

That's probably one pf the best ideas I've heard for not letting crackers break! Thanks for the tips :)

I like to bring slim jims, peanut butter crackers, fruit snacks, trail mix, granola bars, fig newton cookies. The slim jims are always the big winner (can't explain why - we don't eat them that often at home). The last several times my son has been a teenager so snacks were a necessity! We also don't carry a bag into the park most of the time so snacks that fit into pockets are a winner for us. Often we bring a snack onto the bus with us in the morning and eat it for "breakfast". I also usually bring a package of disposable coffee cups with lids with us and we usually each use one every morning for our bus ride breakfast and then we can just chuck them out when we get to the park. We like to travel light and skip bag check!
