Best Snacks??

If you can find the Turkey Leg (cart behind Matterhorn?) then go for it. They are delicious BUT you pick at it with your hands so have lots of wipes handy.

The Mickey pretzels are acutally very yummy.

Churros are good but it's just a straight overpriced donut. The caramel dip that you can buy with them is very good AND, one serving will EASILY do two churros.

The Gison Girl ice cream is a must for me.

can somebody point me towards the thread on weight loss:rotfl: i'm going to have to try a few of these especially dole whips and tigger tails:banana:

I tried beignets at Ralph Brennan's Creole Cafe in DTD last time, and found them to be kind of blah. Greasy and tossed in a bag with a handful of powdered sugar so you shook them up to coat them... and they were just kind of heavy. Did somebody mention on here earlier that they are better someplace in New Orleans Square? Can you get them at a counter service in the park, or do you have to sit down at Cafe Orleans and order them? How do they compare to the ones in DTD?

I was soooooooooooo disappointed by the ones at Cafe Orleans. I was all set for the ones from RB (which I found lovely and light- maybe you got a bad batch) and it was a total let down at CO. :(

I have not seen them counter seervice in the parks.

I love the Chimichangas. I go get Tabasco packets at the gumbo kiosk in NOS and throw a couple in the Chimi. Yum.

Bengal BBQ, anything there is great... especially the Banyan Beef skewer and the Outback veggie kabob. A corn dawg from the truck on MS in DL or at the castle in CA is good. Yes and I like the Mickey pretzels with cheese too.

Sweets I like the frozen bananas, Gibson Girl sundaes and an occasional churro.

Just let your nose guide you, most of the above can be smelled once you come into sniffing range.

Question about the popcorn:

Is it like movie-theater popcorn? or air popped? Do they have Different flavorings?

Thanks!!

It's movie theater style, only one flavor...BUTTER. It is SO good. It's not greasy and it's never burnt like it is at the movie theater.

DCA has caramal popcorn I think, I know DTD has caramel.

I love the chimichangas too but they are HUGE.

Thanks for the info...I LOVE popcorn..but caramel?? :cloud9:

Ok, I don't even know what that is, but somebody tell me, please, because this thread is making me drool all over my keyboard... :tigger:

The Tinkerbelle twist is a drink kinda like an icee, but the flavors are really sour and they "twist" 2 flavors together! YUMMY!

When it's hot out I like to get a Mint Julep at the Mint Julep Bar (behind French Market, access from Train Station area), so refreshing, they also have fritters there but the quality has declined in the last 10 tens they, they used to be awesome, not so much anymore, but still yummy, it's fried and covered in sugar, lol.

You've never had caramel popcorn??? OMG, you poor thing! :lmao: My Mom used to make us caramel popcorn when we had sleepovers, in the oven and everything....I need to find out how she did that, I love that stuff!!!

DTD has Kettle corn, which is sweet and yuck, not like caramel popcorn at all. :rotfl:

Turkey legs can be found in Frontierland, near Big Thunder.

Best snacks, in my opinion...

Oatmeal raisin cookie from Blue Ribbon Bakery.
Giant iced cinnamon roll from Blue Ribbon Bakery.
Dole Whip
Hunny Pot rice crispie treat from Pooh Corner

And where do I get them at DL?

Dole Whips are a soft serve pineapple yum treat! :lmao: similar to frozen yogurt or ice cream. They are soooooooo good........you get them by the Tiki Room, there is a little stand there.

Definately Bengal BBQ
Never go without getting a fritter - YUM!
Anything from the candy store in Pooh's corner

I found the Dole Whip to be uninspired. The ice cream at Gibson Girl interests me more although I admit a weakness for the Big Hunk O Pineapple. :rotfl2: The hot link corn dog over in DCA however... [swoon]. I could die happy choking on one of those. We enjoy the Tigger tails and chocolate dipped honey comb. I am a sucker for the begniets in DTD.

Mickey bars are an absolute must for a couple members of our party. Our travel buddy JayJay has a tradition of "bribing" my son to come to Disneyland by promising him a Mickey bar. They do this elaborate drawn out thing of my kid "thinking about it" when JayJay asks if he's going to come and only "agreeing" to come along after JayJay offers to buy him a Mickey bar. :lmao:

Chocolate dipped honey comb?!! Do tell! Where would I find them at?
