We have dined at at AP in the past and the food was good but I was disappointed in the overall look and mood of the restaraunt. It felt large and hollow almost like a high school gym:sad2: (that's probably exaggerating a bit, but you get my point.)

Which signature restaraunt would you recommend for an upscale luxurious dinner :cloud9: (outside of V&A,ofcourse)?

I think Citricos has the best ambiance. Visiting the Grand Floridian is always nice too, especially if the orchestra or pianist is playing in the lobby The view at Cali Grill is nice, but it's noisy and crowded in there.

If you are looking for upscale atmosphere (as upscale as you can get at Disney anyway) I'd say Citricos and then Jiko.

Another vote for Citrico's.

The recommendation for Citrico's is a good one. Don't overlook Jiko or Flying Fish though. Jiko is a wonderful space in a beautifully themed resort. Flying Fish is a bit more whimsical decor.

I'd say the Cali Grill...but de[ending on where you get seated. Last year, we were seated in the far most corner, towards the MK... the last table at the window. It was AMAZING. This year, we were seated across from the kitchen...Less magical when you consider...I'm a health inspector.:wizard:

I guess ambiance and atmosphere can mean different things to different people, but IF you mean relatively quiet and upscale, I'd say Citricos.

Shula's and Blue Zoo on "quiet" nights can have a nice upscale feel to them, as can Bistro if there aren't many kids in the restaurant.

California Grill, definitely. But it's what you make of it, regardless of where you are. You can focus on noise or focus on your own experience. :)

Citricos or Jiko, maybe California Grill if seated in the wine room. It's quieter there, but no MK view.

Bistro de Paris
. . . excellent service
. . . quiet atmosphere with subdued talking
. . . pleasant surroundings and decorations
. . . very few (if any) kids to make noise or run around

I agree with previous posters. Citricos and Jiko are 2 of the nicest restaurants as far as ambiance, good food and great service. I have had wonderful experiences at both.
