I am trying to get some information for a friend who is flying to Disney for the very first time. Who would you suggest she use to get from the airport to Pop Century, from PC to Universal, and then from Universal back to the airport. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

You do not indicate how many people are in your friend's party.
The cheapest way to go if there is only one or two people is Mears. I believe the cost from the airport to WDW is about 25.00 per person and from WDW to Universal it is about 12.00 per person. Most of us do not care for them as they stop at various resorts so sometimes it takes awhile to get where you are going.
If there are more than 2 people, then it would be worth using a Town Car service. FL tours is a sponsor of this board and they have gotten very good reviews. I have used Tiffany Town Car and Cartier and have been pleased with both companies.

I just came back from a week at Disney yesterday, and used Tiffany Towncars to/from MCO-Pop Century. We only went to DisneyWorld, so I can't comment on the trip to Universal, but I was really happy with our airport transportation. I'd looked through the FL Tours link here and would have used them, but they don't take credit cards, so that was out - I chose Tiffany mostly cos I saw them referenced a lot here, and they're a sponsor of Deb Wills' All Ears Net, which was the other site I checked out before going.

Our driver, Carlos, was waiting for us at baggage claim and was really cheerful and helpful - good with my toddler, helped with our carryons that were all draped on the stroller, stopped me from getting my own luggage, saying it was his job. Sarah and I stayed with our stuff outside while he went to get the car, and when he got to us he had the car seat all set up for her so I could just work on getting her in the car while he loaded in our stuff. He gave me my choices for a grocery stop, and was cheery and pleasant the whole trip - when we got to POP, he gave me his card with his direct number as he would be our return driver. (unfortunately, when we were running late yesterday to meet him, my cell phone had no service, and I couldn't take advantage of having his number! Argh!!)

All of that seems pretty expected for any service I suppose, but he really came through for us on the return trip though. Like I said, we were running really late - I completely underestimated how long it would take us to have breakfast at Chef Mickey's and get back to POP for our 12.30 pickup, and was completely panicking that he'd leave when we no-showed, especially since on the bus I had no way of calling ahead. The bus driver dropped us off (we were the only people on that bus) at the entrance before turning off to the bus stops, and I raced over to him, completely out of breath - he was totally nice about it, and as I ran off to the room to get the last of our stuff, he and the luggage people loaded up the car with the stuff that had been brought from the room earlier that morning. We ended up leaving 20 minutes late, and when we left he called in to say he was finally on the road, and couldn't take the run they'd just asked him about because he wouldn't be there in time. I wasn't all that worried abt our missing our plane because it seemed like we had so much time (the flight wasn't until 3, and I couldn't believe MCO could take so much longer than, say, LGA to get through, although now I'd take that back...), but he was more worried and took us on a toll road to save time. And while I suppose he could have made a point of talking about the missed fare to guilt-trip me, I don't think that's the case, because he hadn't even mentioned taking the toll road on his own - *I* said something about I'd thought he'd said the highway was so congested and yet there was so little traffic, and that's when he said it was a different highway, that we took a toll road which has less traffic to make sure we got there on time - he got us to the airport in less than half an hour! And didn't even ask for me to pay the tolls. (Yes, I left a nice tip. Again, since I had on the first trip as well...)

Bonnie,
I am a firm believer in using the people who support/sponser a site such as this one.
In this case, FL Tours is a sponser of this site. I have seen their cars and their drivers, totally professional and too clean to touch!!! :)
So, given that, my vote goes to FL tours. The link to their website is at the top of this page, just click it.

We did this same trip itinerary in December (5 days All-Star Sports, 3 days Royal Pacific). There were just 2 of us, but we really did not want to use Mears, so we did the following:

Used Cartier to go from airport to ASP, from RP to airport - 75 r/t pre tips (95 after tips). Used a taxi from ASP to RP - 30 with tip.

Basically it cost us 125 for all our transportation, since renting a car is not an option for us due to the underage driver fees.

We have always preferred to use FL Tours for our transportation. Andy is a wonderful guy who will see to it you are taken care of.

FL Tours is the official transportation company of the DIS and by using them we are supporting these boards. I know that I would be lost when it comes to my Disney planning without these boards.

Go to www.fltours.com/reservations.htm and fill out a request, you will see pricing before you ever have to submit the request for a reservation

Thanks so much for the feedback. I did pass along the Fl Tours information to my friends!
