I read threads that some people like flip flops , scadals etc, do you wear say Nike Air type of running shoes there ? I thought that they are supposed to be very comfortable too.....or is it just too hot to wear.. ?

I like crocs and sandals, but I definitely wear tennis shoes there a lot, also. I've never had trouble with a tennis shoe being too hot. I wear the ankle socks.

I love my sketchers the best. They're nice and airy and are perfect for the long walks in the parks.

I wore Flip flops but Im addicted to flip flop! I brought an extra pair incase one of the straps on them broke. I didnt have any problems with my feet or my feet hurting. There was only one time i wore tennis shoes because it rained.

I have worn sneakers around the parks during the summer and the only thing that was bad about it was if there was a downpour and they got wet. There is nothing like being stuck in wet shoes. The past 2 trips we took I wore Teva or Reef flip flops. They were very comfortable and dried out quickly. Also remember if your sneakers do get soaked they may not be dried out by the next day so be sure to have a back-up.

Personally I have flat feet so I always wear all-stars and they dont bother me. Just sometimes when i get them wet and all.

Always wear my running shoes (usually Nike or Reebok) to the parks. Just makes sure they're nice and broken in.

Only crocs for me annd my whole family first my boys can put them on by themselves and never complain about there feet hurting if they get wet you just take some paper towel and wipe them off (great for water rides) also we love collecting the disney jibbitz They have alot of new styles not like before when they all looked exactly the same.

Another vote for running shoes. I am always amazed at how much walking you do in WDW. I have tried sandals (Tevas) but I can never make it a full day wearing these. I end up using these only when I go to the pool or water parks.

I ALWAYS wear flip flops. Although, I love wearing flip flops - they are by far my most comfortable shoes.

For me, tennis shoes are too hot - and normally I wear comfortable knit dresses to the parks, so tennis shoes just don't look right.

I also find tennis shoes very uncomfortable in the rain - experienced this only once - I was wearing tennis shoes at Epcot, then when the rain stopped, my shoes were uncomfortable the rest of the day because my feet, socks, and shoes were damp!

Flip flops can get slip-slidy in the rain, but at least your feet will dry quickly when the rain stops!

Anyway, I think it all comes down to personal preference.

I bring several pairs and rotate them throughout my stay. My favorites are my Sperry Get Wets, Earth Shoe Sandals, Birkenstock sandals. I can walk in any of these all day, however, Earth and Birkenstocks take a while to get used to if you've never worn them. I stay away from sneakers because I wear them to workout in the gym and don't want to wear out the soles too much, plus they're just too hot.

Crocs Flip Flops and Crocs shoes are the only shoes that support my arches. I went to Disney with somone that wore regular flip flops (the kind with 1/2 inch width sole. As flat as can be. When we were in Epcot she tried on my Crocs and said she felt like she was walking on a cloud.

i wear my adias sandals with the memory foam on the bottom, tested them last year at disney and had no problems at all with them.. so my cousin bought a pair for this year's trip... and im bringing mine again for this year..

i live in my teva terra's. they are comfortable, can get wet, and never give me blisters.

I wear my Teva's or Reef's. Last year I wore a pair of Lands End trek sandals for one day, and I got the worst blisters. Went right back to my flip flops! For those of you that wear crocs, do they get slippery when wet like flip flops do? I have a pair of Mary Janes that I might bring for our upcoming trip.

I always bring crocs flip flops for me and the crocs caymans for my 8 and 6 year old. My husband likes crocs scutes (he is not a flip flop guy!) We have been rained on and we always see people trying to dry out their tennies and we have no problem with that with the crocs!

Also, as far as slippery, we have never had a problem when the shoes are newer. When the shoes are older and they lose tread, then they tend to be more slippery, so just don't take a worn down pair!:goodvibes

This last trip I brought Crocs, tennis shoes, and my Crocs flip-flops. I ended up wearing my flips-flops the most. I have had them for three years at least and I LOVE them! :thumbsup2

My kids and I will be wearing Crocs. I bought the traditional Caymans for the kids and some slides for me. I wore them in Guatemala when living there a few years ago--super comfortable in hot weather and for lots of walking. Another plus, you can easily wash them if they get nasty and perfect for water rides.
