::MickeyMo I love my classic Adidas (tennis) sneakers! They're fabulous and I don't even need to break them in. I wear them the day we leave for Disney and never have a problem!

What are Kangaroos? ::MinnieMo

i got nike walkers and put in gel insoles and was pretty happy. i also got cushioned water wicking walking socks( say that 3 times) to wear with thm. usually i have blisters but not this time...some also have been swearing by crocks espec. for water/wet rides but haven't tried them my self

::MickeyMo I was thinking about Crocs...until I saw them, LoL. Nothing against the people who own them, but I think they're so ugly. I just couldn't bring myself to wear them. I looked at them in the store and DBF was like, you are not thinking about buying those, are you? He normally doesn't care about things like that, so for him to say that, they must be bad. But that's just my opinion! LoL. ::MinnieMo

Salomon Water shoes are all I wear to the parks .
Mesh but full coverage
mircobal don't smell after getting wet
super lightweight
and best of all
Convertable HEAL Wear as open back (mule ) or full shoe with speed laces

DD got hers 1st and I followed and will never go back

If you're looking to give others a good laugh, wear those crocs I hear so much about. Man those things are ugly.
My opinion on good WDW shoes are shoes that you've had a chance to break in. There's nothing worse than finding out that they don't wear well when you're at the parks.
For my feet, I like New Balance tennis shoes.
Good luck on finding the right shoes. Foot care can become the most important planning on a WDW trip.

I dont care how ugly the things are, they are soooooooo comfortable and most especially at the parks. I am tellin ya they are worth the fubby looks, and trust me there will be lots of other people wearing them. It was croc central the past 3 times I have been to WDW since May.

I have to agree about Crocs being everywhere. Just back last week and we saw them on a lot of people, all ages. My girls, 20 and 17 yo. even noticed. They thought they were kind of cute.

I wore Tevas, very comfortable, but I also bring other shoes. I find if I rotate shoes and not wear the same ones constantly I fare better.

I am wearing sketchers at the moment and find them more comfortable than my nikes.

Crocs may be ugly, but they are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn! As long as my feet are happy, I can get over the ugly part. :rotfl2:

If you want the best, consider running shoes with lots of support. I am wearing New Balance 1122's that I bought because of heel problems (plantar fasciitis), and they are wonderful. Models change and I'm sure other manufacturers have comparable models, but I'm a big New Balance fan. Go wherever the runners shop for shoes and ask for a shoe with plenty of support. It won't be cheap but it will be worth it.

I just bought some Nike Shox that are so comfortable, I will probably wear those. I did see some cute little sketchers, I am thinking they were track running shoes (without the spikes) that looked very light and comfy. I might have to look into those.

I buy New Balance "cross training" sneakers. They usually break in pretty fast.

Whatever kind of shoes you wear all the time and are comfortable in. i wore my regular sandals and swapped every other day for socks with my keds. no problems at all!

Crocs....they may be ugly, but oh man....are they comfy. My dd, 29, just rolls her eyes when she looks at my feet or my other dd's, 12, feet. We each have two pair of Crocs. I hate wearing anything else. When we were in WDW in June, we all packed the following shoes...crocs, water/sport sandals, sneakers. Dd never took her Crocs off, I wore mine about 90% of the time and dh wore his about 50%. So, when dd and I headed to WDW for a quickie, last minute trip in Aug...we only took our Crocs. Never came off our feet. I have to tell you....when it rains, or you just want to walk through some of those surprise fountains, these are the greatest shoes. I have very high arches and bad knees/lower back. I have yet to have any problems when I wear the Crocs. I do when I wear anything else. I am sooooooo over having to have cute shoes.

It really depends on your feet. I suggest going to a really good tennis shoe store and having them fit you. I am not talking about the chain stores. The employees usually don't really know what they are doing. Some of the chain stores actually do hire decent employees. Go in, talk to employee, if they seem to know what they are talking about and you are comfortable, let them fit you.

If you have wide feet, Nike's won't work. They are cut narrow. Sketchers are cut wide. New Balance is cut fairly wide. If you have really wide feet, consider buying mens shoes if you are woman.

I have flat feet that over pronate with heel problems. The new balance 1122's or New Balance 580 with the roll bar both work well for me. I can't wear anything else. I tried Crocs yesterday. Wore them 1/2 a day and they made my feet feel bruised. Most people love them, but with my problem feet, well........

What it comes down to is there is no perfect shoe for everyone. You are going to have to decide for yourself. Try on different kinds and see what feels best. Generally, you get what you pay for in shoes.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Elizabeth

Any broken in pair that YOUR feet like. I wouldnt get a brand new pair to break in on vacation

Stupid question, but can anyone tell me where to get them - major department stores, etc.? I'm always looking for comfortable but would want to try them on...............Thanks!
