I will be going back in September for my 4th Disney vacation
What are THE BEST shoes for all that walking? I have always worn my walking shoes but still end up with blisters by the 4th day. Any suggestions? I did buy a pair of crocs last month and they are very comfortable, but I don't know about wearing them for vacation. :confused3
Any suggestion and opinons appreciated :thumbsup2

Comfy ones. Tevas and crocs are usual reccommendations. I dont wear either. I wear walking shoes or comfy flipflops. I wear the same shoes I would wear for a day at the mall. I do almost always switch shoes midday and spray my feet with deoderant to help with moisture. If you're getting blisters, your shoes probably arent broken in enough. Never ever wear brand new shoes.

Wear your walking shoes and use Body Glide. You can find it sporting goods and hiking stores. It is wonderful. I have not gotten a blister since I started using it.

Crocs! They are very comfortable and you will be glad you have them on during those September rain showers.

I plan on getting a pair of crocs and trying them out on my next DW vacation based on all the great reviews here on the boards. Has anyone tried the croc flips in DW yet? Was wondering how they worked for them. I personally like a more open shoe in warm weather. I have worn birk thongs the past 3 years on my trips and have loved them, my feet or back never feels the long days, but I'm always looking for another good comfy pair of shoes!

What if we're going in December?
I know it gets chilly, especially at night.
Will crocs keep your feet warm or would you have to wear socks???

I just got back from WDW where we did 3 parks open to close.

I wore LL Bean Summer Sneakers Slip ons. (currently on clearance sale online)

These have to be the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn at WDW...and I thought my sandals were the answer last year.

My feet only hurt at the end of the Magic Kingdom after a 16 hour day.

These shoes are cool on the foot and have plenty of venting...I like to have froze my foot off in the freezer section of the Wal-Mart.

I agree with a lot of what everyone else said.

Also get sport socks with NO cotton in them, ones that whisk away moisture. It's not necessarily your shoes that are giving you a hard time but the friction between your socks and your shoes. I learned that one prepping for the Avon 2 day.

In the two years I've walked with moisture wicking socks I've had a total of three blisters and two of them were because it was POURING rain the first day of the walk and my shoes, socks, and the rest of me were totally soaked.

Body glide is a great thing too!

No more blisters since I started wearing my Teva Pretty Rugged sandals in leather.

They are great for rainy weather too!

I also use Bodyglide or Blistershield on my feet to help prevent blisters (hot spots).

You should also be changeing shoes as well never same pair 2 days in a row if you make it back mid -day change your shoes then as well this is great for your feet.

Body-glide /Underarmore socks are the best .

But good shoes are a must TEVA's fi you like sandles / crocs for comfort .

I wear Northface /Solomon / ECCO's and also Teva water shoe They all are very lightweight ,great support ,cover entire foot (no sunburn on top I forget to put lotion on there for some reason),are vented so no sweet and lots of air ,and they are all water sheading and Antimicrobial
