Best shoes for walking the parks?!

I wear my Crocs everytime I go. Also take my Lands End sandals. Last time I wore Crocs the entire time - my feet absolutely love Crocs. Never sore, never a blister, no aching. Crocs are great for my feet. :cool1:

Took flip-flops and my New Balance. Wore my flip-flops the whole time. Can't stand having my feet confined when it's hot. Thought about getting some Crocs, but why mess with a good thing. Flip-flops all the way for me. :cool1:

No mater what kind anyone tells you
you should take shoes that are broke in and comfortable
if someone tells you sandals
and you never wore sandals
then guess what!
don't wear them
were what your a comfortable in
because you will be in them for a long time
I wear a mid trail shoe
or a pair os Sketchers
:badpc:

I have foot issues, so this is a major concern for me. I wear a combination of shoes, depending on the weather while I'm there (just got back from there and needed closed toe shoes just for warmth).

I wear - Chacos Z2 style, Keen Presidio, Papillio (birkenstock) clogs (Frankfurt are my latest faves), Birkenstock rubber/eva flip flops (even they have to have arch support), and one pair of Crocs Mary Janes. I just can't stand the look of the regular crocs on me - I see them on other people, and like them fine, but I have bigger feet, and just feel like I have duck feet in them. I got the Mary Janes, but they aren't supportive enough for all day - I can wear them for about a half day before my feet are done with them.

For me, the best sneakers are Asics. The pair I have now I have walked about 100 miles in, plus done some gym time and they are holding up very well. They are light, easy to clean and have fantastic support.

Like everyone - wear something you have broken in, bring more than one pair of whatever you decide on, and know that at some point your feet will probably get wet.

Also - if you wear closed toe shoes/sneakers, pay as much attention to your socks as anything... you can take a fabulous sneaker and it won't be wearable because of the wrong sock!

Good luck!!!

Two years ago I brought only Teva flip flops for a 5 day trip, I figured I wore them every day at home so it wouldn't be a problem. Obviously I underestimated the amount of walking I would be doing at WDW, it's definitely not like a typical day at home, atleast not my home! :rotfl2:

So last year I brought my flip flops for the pool, but maryjane Crocs for the parks, and my feet didn't complain once in 10 days.

This year I'll definitely be bringing Crocs, maybe even a couple different pairs!

I gave up sneakers when I discovered Crocs. Now I bring a few pairs and just got some Mickey ones for Disney.

I'm thinking of wearing my yellowbox flip flops at Disney this time around. I have not worn them before at the parks, but my feet swear by them at home. I have foot problems and these are the one pair of flip flops that don't hurt my feet after hours of wear.

Unfortunately for me, I have bad circulation (i guess) because if I stand on my feet for too long, they turn really red and it embarrasses me. I'm only in my late twenties, but I've always had that problem. Otherwise, I just wear my New Balance and they work well for me.

Any advice to help improve circulation??

I wore tennis shoes my first day of our honeymoon last year and ended up with Mickey Crocs midway through the day- They were my lifesavor (or my feet savor- however you look at it). Then when we went back for food and Wine Fesitival- we got hubby a pair. They are so comfortable for walking so much.:wizard: Mickey Crocs were like magic! (hee hee)

Just ordered Disney crocs for DD, GS and myself. SIL got the black/red pirates of the Caribbean ones. Can't wait til they get here. Do your feed get sweaty in them though? Not planning on wearing socks...can't stand socks in summer.

Mine didn't... We went in March of last year.. and are going in March of this year- so it wasn't too too hot! Enjoy them! They are sooo comfy!

I find Birkenstocks even more comfortable than sneakers and crocs for walking. They make very feminine ones also now, (I have small feet). They're the best! :lovestruc
