Best Shoe for WDW - Adults and Kids?

I love my jambu shoes. They're very comfortable. Similar to keen, but enclosed mesh so there aren't as many straps to rub.

I bring these and my KaiKai flip flops and switch between them. A well broken in pair of LEATHER flip flops that have formed to your feet, can be comfortable and supportive walking shoes. The kaikai have a rubber sole and midlayer that has a bit of squish to it.

Bodyglide is also handy stuff to have. I put it on my heels and where any straps are located to help fend off the blisters.

I had a joint replacement in my big toe last year and have experienced almost constant pain since. So I had a great need to find comfy shoes for my feet. As a PP poster said, it's best to try out a variety of brands and styles to find what works for you. I recently discovered Skechers Go Walk line of shoes and found them incredibly comfortable. This was the first pair of shoes since my surgery that did not cause pain when worn for short amts of time. I also find some Keen sandals comfy, and the more expensive Asics running shoes to be comfy. I need a lot of cushion in the heel and ball of foot and these 3 types provide it. During my 8 day Disney trip last month, my foot pain was almost unbearable. However I did find temporary relief by switching shoes mid day (or whenever the pain started getting really bad). Some days I switched 3 times. The relief I felt was worth lugging the extra shoes to the parks.

I think bringing a shoe arsenal is my favorite strategy. Some NIKE Frees or your favorite tennis shoe, (NIKE Frees are light as air, but not good for rainy days), Disney is the only place where crocs are fashionably acceptable, they make some cute styles of them now days, and I always like a flip flop for evenings your feet just need to breathe and you won't be in the park longer than four hours.

As a former cast member/local, it was not uncommon to rock heels for a dinner evening in EPCOT or Downtown Disney. Don't recommend for more than a dinner outing.
