I haven't found one yet (and I've tried many) that don't leave streaky marks around my feet, ankles, elbows (all the rough areas), even with exfoliating. I like the one's that are already brown; that way you can see if you got even coverage, rather than find out a few hours later when it's too late to fix it.

I have always used Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer. Nice gradual color.

Well, I took the plunge and ordered. I liked that it was clear and was dry in just a couple of minutes. They said you could wear white after it dried and it wouldn't stain the fabric. They demonstrated it during the lunch hour and it looked easy enough to apply. They are selling a pkg. of 12 towelettes..supposedly enough to last June, July & Aug.

I guess I should exfoliate in the next couple of days so I will be all ready when they arrive.

I'll let you know how they work!

Nothing with the suffix "ette" will cover this body!!!

Now, I do like the Avon pump spray tan. It doesn't leave me looking like an Oompaloompa! I just wish they made spray tan that doesn't smell so bad! I hate the way I smell with that stuff on!

St Tropez, it is WONDERFUL not orange, no odor, got it on QVC, a mousse actually, Love it!! Many compliments

The one that I am using right now is Banana Boats Summer Color Sunless Lotion in light/medium. I really have no negative comments about it other than I don't care for the smell.

I have tried many different brands and so far I like this one the best. On me, it is not orangey and it lasts. It is tinted so that you can see where you put it. I get plenty of color out of the light/medium, can't even imagine what their dark formula would do!!!

Yes, always exfoliate first. Then I apply regular lotion (I use The Body Shop's Satsuma body butter)to the areas that grab the self tanner, mainly my ankles. I then mix approximately 1/2 and 1/2 or that same lotion and the self tanner and apply. Still be careful to not rub in too much on the ankle area. After you are done, make sure that you wash your hands. Self tanners can make your palms orange. But I haven't had this problem with Banana Boat. As far as streaking, I have had that with other self tanners, but not so far with Banana Boat. Maybe I am just getting better at applying it.

Right now I have 2 applications on my legs applied with a day in between each. I have a nice tan on my legs, very satisfied!

ETA: I don't have a problem with the smell when I use the Satsuma body butter. That stuff just smells so wonderful. I only noticed it when I used a regular lotion.
