I have never stayed at SSR before and I know it is huge. We like Disney Springs so we thought Congress Park might be best but thought The Springs in centralized. Which is your favorite and why?

We did Congress park twice and it is nice for walking to DS. But the pool is just meh and it doesn't have a food/drink counter like the other pools. We just stayed at SSR again and I requested 'near pool' as i figured we'd get a food/drink counter at all the pools but the one at Congress Park but if we got Congress Park we could walk to DS...so any which way we'd be good. We got Paddock in the building right next to the pool (5501-5836 building). We could get food and drinks (even bar drinks and even breakfast) at the pool counter. We could easily walk a straight shot over to the Carriage House. But getting to DS...we once walked over and it was longish. We once took the boat behind the carriage house and that took a long time (A- to get to boat dock, B- to go from there to DS and C- to walk from drop-off over to market place). We once drove our car over to Congress Park and then walked over to Market Place and that was the best option if you have a car. And I think you can take a bus to DS but we never tried that.

Congress Park would be the easiest access to Disney Springs. We prefer The Paddock. It has a wonderful themed pool and splash area. There is food and mug refill station at the pool, and an easy walk to the main building. The Springs is closer to the main building but we don't like being the last bus stop for the parks.

We just came back from a stay in the Grandstand and it was amazing. We were in building 85. It was close to everything. We didn't walk to Disney Springs from there but we never had to wait long for a bus or a boat. It was nice because it was the first bus stop and it only took about 10 mis to pick up the rest of the resort.

I have gotten so I like Congress Springs for the the view of Disney Springs, the short walk to DS and easy walk to the Carriage House. The distance from the furthest building in Congress Park is similar to the distance of the furtherest building in the Paddock section to/from the Carriage House--roughly .0412 (CP) or .0412 (Paddock). It would be a little closer for some of the other buildings but not much difference.

If you need the pool bar for drinks and the QS station, the Paddock might work best for you. But personally I prefer to dine at DS or at the Carriage House. I can take drinks from my villa for the pool.

we stayed at Congress Park which has the quiet pool and a short walk to Disney Springs, we spent quiet a bit of time in the Springs pool and ate at Artist point, I would probably request the Springs area next time for this reason.

If you want to get to DS from Paddock just hop any bus and take it to Congress Park and then walk to DS from there. We prefer Congress Park and last trip were in the building closest to DS. When we wanted to go to the Carriage House we just hopped any bus except. DS bus and we were there. Had to walk back bit still not a bad walk at all.

My views on each location. The Grandstand is our favorite for our needs But Congress Park is tempting with all the the places at Disney Springs.

The Springs (D)
Across street from lobby, food and store
Across street from Main Pool (zero entry) and Community Hall
Best rooms are center cluster, 3501-3836
but
last bus stop on park routes

The Paddock (E)
New pool and splash area (sunny, not much shade)
Food and drink (limited hours)
but
spread out
longer walks to everything
Far end is actually closer to Congress Park's bus stop!

Congress Park (F)
Near walkway to Disney Springs (Marketplace end)
A short walk to lobby, food and store
but
4th stop on park bus routes

The Carousel (G)
Small group of buildigns far away from everything, no pool.
Second stop on park bus routes

The Grandstand (H)
Good size pool and splash area (more shade than paddock)
A short walk to lobby, food and store
First stop on park bus routes
best locations are 8000s
but
9000s are a farther walk to pool, bus, and everything else

Treehouse Villas
Best if you have a car and really like the woods and layout of these villas
but
Far from everything
Shuttle bus to Saratoga Springs, must transfer to other buses
