Best seats for Pixar Play Parade?

I think this is the one parade I want to see. My son loves pretty much every Pixar movie so I think he will love seeing all the characters he recognizes. So where is the best place to sit??

I like to sit in between jumping jellyfish and the symphony swings. It never seems to get crowded down there and you can sit in the shade or the sun depending on what side of the street, time of day, etc. there is also a lot of snack and food options while you wait for the parade.
I usually can snag a pretty good seat by showing up right before the parade starts. During peak times you may want to grab a spot 15-20minutes before parade starts

The great thing about the Pixar parade it the route is pretty long. We like to grab a spot by either Ariels ride and eat our corndogs while waiting or Outside of Disney Junior where there are benches to sit on.

Have a magical time!

A good spot is at the bottom of the ramp to the Wine Country Trattoria, across from the Pacific Wharf. There are usually spots right next to the ramp that people don't take, probably because they think it is part of the ramp.

I've walked up multiple times to see the parade at the very end of the route--near the Jumping Jellyfish and restaurants across the way. Always had a place to sit, and everyone is still very much "on stage," despite it being at the very end of the route.

There really isn't a bad spot. I like to sit at the beginning of the route so we can walk in the opposite direction and enjoy rides while everyone is still sitting.

We found a spot, right in front of I think the Wine Country Trattoria, it looks towards the child care center. There's a single bench there and the yellow line runs right in front of it. We loved it there, we had a comfortable seat and nobody could be in front of us. It's like a private viewing area. :)

What IS the route for the parade? Is there a graphic anywhere for parade routes in DCA?

We lucked out the last time we saw this parade - the Alfresco Lounge was under refurbishment but all the tables and chairs were still there. So we plopped down at one of the tables. It was gloriously shady and we had a great view!

We sat down on the bench right between TOT and Aladdin exit...simply because we were tired, and had a great spot for the parade after just a few minutes!
The down side was that some folks though it was OK to STAND in front of us, but they sat down when we asked them nicely. Cast members are very strict about people not being on the 'road'.
The best part of this location was that we turned back toward TOT immediately after the parade passed us, and had that area and Bugs Life to ourselves for the duration of the parade. That alone was worth it with that spot.

There are a lot of good spots for this parade. The nice thing is that it's nothing like it is over at DL. If you want a front row, on the rope spot, get there an hour early. Ugh. With Pixar Play Parade, we grabbed a prime spot 30 minutes before the parade, and we were the only ones in the area for another 10 minutes. No crowding or pushing. It was nice.

I never planed to see this. We were getting ready to wait for woc so we were right over there. We were told it was starting soon so we sat right down in front spot. Best views ever. This was one of our most surprising moments of the trip last nov.

When are you going? I ask because there are two versions of this parade: the wet version and the dry version! I saw it in September and the floats were shooting water! When I saw it in December, there were no water cannons. I asked a CM and he said that when it's cold, they don't use the water (which makes sense to me!). Anyway, some folks got pretty wet because many of the floats had water cannon (opposed to mist sprayers). So, if you have non-water friendly electronics, I'd bring a bag to quickly stash them if it looks like the cannon is going to get you! Otherwise, as folks have said, there really aren't any "bad" spots to watch the parade. I'd just walk along the route until you find somewhere where you can sit down or see clearly and wait there.

We saw it from right beside Goofy's Sky School which was great because there are bathrooms and counter service places RIGHT THERE :)
