Best Seafood?

The lobster soup and lobster salad for lunch at Coral Reef was lovely. BUT if he is a big eater, it isn't tremendously filling.
Kona @ The Poly: Shrimp and Scallops - panko breaded shrimp and pan-seared scallops with sticky rice and ponzu, spicy guava-passion fruit and wasabi cream sauces. I loved this.

We ate at Cap'n Jacks (DTD) when we were on the dining plan and the food was AMAZING. We had shrimo for an appetizer and then I had Steak and Lobster and DH had the double Lobster tails and half of my steak! It was a lovely meal!

For seafood on disney property there are only two real options...

Flying Fish or Blue Zoo.

Fultons at DTD is our favorite! We did not care for Coral Reef but we love Fultons! We've been there several times and the food is wonderful and the service is tops! :cool1:

Fulton's at Downtown Disney is our absolute favorite. We did Flying Fish several years ago and it was just okay at that time and we haven't been back.

Unfortunately, Fulton's is not on the dining plan and it is expensive. Lunch is cheaper than dinner.

Well, There are a handful of seafood restaurants, but there are some restaurants that serve other things besides seafood too (i.e. combo steak and seafood, or even sushi if your into that). The following are some restaurants I thought had a really good seafood selection of soups, appetizers and main courses):

Shula's Steak House http://allears.net/menu/menu_ssh.htm
Todd English's Bluezoo http://allears.net/menu/menu_bz.htm
Narcoossee's http://allears.net/menu/menu_nar.htm
Cape May Cafe (Dinner Buffet) - http://allears.net/menu/menu_cmc.htm
Coral Reef - http://allears.net/menu/menu_cr.htm
Fulton's Crab House - http://allears.net/menu/menu_fch.htm

Many have posted flying fish, but it really doesn't have a good selection of seafood choices (Clams, Shrimp, Scallops, Lobster, Crab, etc). You can check out that menu though on the same site above, I just looked at it and excluded because I didn't see a good selection of seafood choices...

Cap'n jacks no longer has lobster on the menu.

They hardly have anything on the menu anymore, certainly not anything that would interest a seafood lover.

I would recommend Cap'n D's before Cap'n jacks!

I was not impressed with Coral Reef either. What we do is before we make our ADR's we will go look at the menus and see if anything stands out. I know that the menus are subject to change, but, in my experience, they are usually pretty close.

We enjoy Fulton's and often go there for lunch.

Narcoosees at GF it is on the Dining plan 2TS credits

I have to agree that Fultons is by far the best seafood we have had on property. It has an excellent atmosphere and everything from the seafood to the sides was top notch. I am getting hungry just thinking about it.

Flyin Fish was amazing! I had the best salmon there that I have ever had!

Fultons can be really good, and it can be just good. Some of my favorite meals have been there, and some just "ok, that was good, but not great" meals. Chances are though you're going to have a really good meal.

And Captain Jacks has lots of stuff for seafood lovers, maybe they removed lobster now, but there is other stuff to choose from. Captain Jacks has never had a huge menu, so it's always been a limited choice.

P.S. Hands down, best seafood meal, is the New England Clam Chowder at Captain Jacks. We always stop by for a couple drinks at the bar and a cup of chowder, it's when we always say we feel "home". Can't beat that!

They have 1 shrimp appetizer, entree choices of crab cakes, salmon or shrimp pasta, and thats the dinner menu!

Lunch drops the crab cakes/salmon in favor of tuna salad and a crab sandwich. Hardly lots of stuff for seafood lovers.

I will give you this, the sandwich isnt bad along with a bowl of chowder, but other than that, its a complete waste of a credit and dinner is a total rip-off. I would rather have a tuna sandwich and bowl of chowder for half the price or without using the dining credit at Columbia Harbor House.

The thing that makes this restuarant even worse, is there is no longer a steak option, just pot roast.
