Trying to pick a seafood resturant for a trip coming up but I would like to hear other people's takes on which ones they liked and which ones to probably avoid. Now I know everyone has different tastes and opinion's but just wondering what is the general consensus in terms of taste and themeing.

This way I can get a general TOP 3 to able to decide from there.

From the Website, the following choices are:

Artist Point
Coral Reef Restaurant
Flying Fish Café
Fulton's Crab House
Narcoossee's
Todd English's bluezoo

Thanks!

We really like Cape May Cafe Clambake. It's a buffet, not a traditional restaurant, but still very good.

This is easy--Blue Zoo, Flying Fish, Fultons.

I'm realling thinking about Blue Zoo, especially since it's at our hotel so it's easy to get to. Also leaning towards Narcoossee's because I head they have a good view of the MK at night for wishes. I haven't checked yet but I'm pretty sure that it's booked for that time of night.

It does have a view, for sure.
And you never know about the availability of reservations...

Your right! They have 8:45, 9:00, and 9:15 available. Not sure you would know this but does every table have a view or do I need to try and hope to request a viewing table? Also, lets say we decide on the 8:45 table and we finish dinner before wishes start, will we be able to still watch it? Can you see wishes from outside the resturant incase we have to leave the table?

Sorry if these are stupid questions but 1st time going to any disney resturant. Infact 1st time on disney property. Usually we stay offsite and eat counter service then have a dinner outside the resort.

Thanks!

Haven't tried BlueZoo, but top three would be:

1) Flying Fish - Great all around restaurant. Food is excellent. Amazing seafood, even the steak is excellent.
2) California Grill - Not on your list, but their seafood is great. This is my favorite restaurant on site, and the only thing I didn't like here was the filet. All the seafood and sushi dishes we've had were incredible.
3) Narcoossee's - Great lobster. Otherwise good, but I'd put the other two ahead.

Not top 3 -- Artist Point - Not bad, I had the salmon, it was good, but overall way below the three above.

I would have to conquer with Uncleromulus.

Hmm seems the consensus so far is Bluezoo and flying fish.

Only reason I would consider choosing Narcoossee's is for the view of wishes. I am in a group of 4 but for that dinner it will be just me and my G/F so I guess it would be kinda romantic. However, we do prefer good tasting food over just a view. And besides we can always catch the wishes show up close and personal.

Hmm gonna be a tough choice :confused3

I almost always agree with Uncleromulus and in this instance, these are my faves in this order also.

bluezoo has the best food and the most upscale and adult atmosphere of any seafood restaurant. That's why it's my favorite restaurant at WDW.

To answer the viewing question, not all tables have a view. And those that do are level with the deck outside. Meaning that if there are a lot of people out on the deck, the view from the inside tables is blocked. So you would have to go outside as well.
And if you finish early, not a problem. You can still go outside and see the fireworks.

So essentially, if fireworks are a priority, then Narcoossee's might be fine. If not, then I'd go with one of the other places.

We really like Cape May Cafe Clambake. It's a buffet, not a traditional restaurant, but still very good.

For quantity I would have to agree, but for quality, it is ok. However, if you are a crab leg lover this is not a bad option since it is endless.

I have to agree, all three of these are excellent with Fultons being my favorite. Also, if on the DDP Blue Zoo is not on the dining plan. I will also add in Narcoossee's and mention that they do offer a whole Maine Lobster which I found to be very good.

Narcoossee's is good, I just don't think the food is amazing. If you're on a dining plan, the lobster and surf n' turf are some of the best values at signature restaurants. If the fireworks view is appealing to you, I would go there.

And Flying Fish has never excited me too much.

Top choice is hands down Flying Fish...I have had 3 seafood dishes there and they were all amazing.

A super close second would be Fultons for the same reasons as stated above

Have not had seafood at the other places you mentioned but Bluezoo was an amazing meal for us so I bet the seafood would be terrific there as well

flying fish flying fish flying fish then blue zoo or fulton's would be my votes. remember if you want to watch fireworks you can see the one's for epcot from the boardwalk if you eat at flying fish then end the evening at jellyrolls...just a thought lol. i've had great and so so meals at narcoossee's but would go again. california grill has good sushi and some seafood meals with a great view of the fireworks. we've had great and poor service there tho but the atmosphere is fantastic. i didn't like coral reef at all for the food but the view of the tanks is neat but it would really be my last pick.

Yeah Coral Reef isn't so much a seafood restaurant as it is a restaurant among seafood. That place was gross.

We really like Flying Fish and are fans of Narcoossee's. Never been to bluezoo because they're not on the dining plan.

Especially since you're staying at the Dolphin, either Flying Fish or bluezoo would be my choice. Heck, though, they're my first choice if I'm staying off property!

We eat at one or both every trip. There is another option at the Flying Fish, there is the special menu with optional wine pairing. This is a special reservation, but you get to sit at the bar in front of the "open" (it's really glassed in) kitchen and watch the kitchen theatrics. Also, there is a high probability that the barkeep, Lorna, will be your wait staff for the evening. She is amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable.

That said, the Flying Fish is loud--and sadly, the best service is dining at the bar.

If you want an amazing meal at an adult restaurant with a beautifully themed decor and possibly the best service (not counting Victoria & Albert's) at WDW, then the bluezoo rocks. They have an amazing cocktail menu, too.

Deciding between these two is a high-class kind of problem! ;-) Enjoy!
