No. They get their seafood from the same distribution center which supplies all WDW-owned restaurants. You may enjoy their preparations, but it's the same fish that Topolino's and California Grill (and Olivia's, Turf Club, Kona Cafe, et.al.) get, which you didn't mention, probably because you don't care for their preparations as much.Flying Fish at the Boardwalk resort or Narcoossee's at Grand Floridian are the two I would recommend.
It's nice you live in Boston and enjoy the freshest of seafood. In your case, you wouldn't care about fish or seafood in Florida.I don't think seafood is really a specialty at Disney and wouldn't necessarily count on top notch seafood. But I do think you can find a decent meal at any of the above mentioned locations. I'm spoiled with good seafood being from Cape Cod and living in Boston.
Agree, and that's why I said you can get decent seafood at Disney. Happy anniversary! It's nice you live in Boston and enjoy the freshest of seafood. In your case, you wouldn't care about fish or seafood in Florida.
But others of us are landlocked at home and love a good fish or seafood dish during our visit.
We can't wait to celebrate our anniversary at Flying Fish.![]()
I'm originally from Plymouth MA, but now living near the parks for ~11 years. You're right about it being hard to find decent seafood here. The best we've had is Celebration Town Tavern.I don't think seafood is really a specialty at Disney and wouldn't necessarily count on top notch seafood. Just out of curiosity, have you been to Celebration Town Tavern?I don't think seafood is really a specialty at Disney and wouldn't necessarily count on top notch seafood. I don’t particularly care for the ambiance at Blue Zoo but every time I go, the food has been excellent. We went with a large group last year and everyone loved their meal.Bluezoo over at the Dolphin is pretty good too though I have seen conflicting reports on its quality lately.
I've only eaten at Boathouse once and my server actually told me not to order the crab cake the minute he saw my Maryland ID LOL but it's a solid place for seafood.
Just out of curiosity, have you been to Celebration Town Tavern?
(It's a little offsite in Celebration but like OKW Lover, I am also a fan.)
Yeah the vibe is kind of whatever but the food was good when I went. I have seen mixed reviews recently so unsure how it is now.I don’t particularly care for the ambiance at Blue Zoo but every time I go, the food has been excellent. All terrible choices for steak. On property go to either Flying Fish or Jiko for steak. Slightly off property, Bull & Bear at the Waldorf Astoria in Bonnet Creek. We've had issues with steak at O'Hana, Chef's and Le Cellier so equal opportunity for a very expensive, bad meal!
Thanks. We also like Steakhouse71 and Topolino's for filet mignon. All terrible choices for steak. On property go to either Flying Fish or Jiko for steak. Slightly off property, Bull & Bear at the Waldorf Astoria in Bonnet Creek.
