Best savannah rooms atthe AKL??? and how to fax room req.

I have about 4 weeks left and Im tring to figure out what to req in the fax. We are going on our honeymoon and Id like to make it as great as it can be. What rooms should I be looking for and what should I request in the fax and how do I send it to?

As for the best savannah view room, I have not stayed there (did visit - absolutely beautiful) but from all of the great info here on the board, I hear that 2nd or 3rd Floor Zebra Trail overlooking the Arusha Savannah is the best. If you have kids or don't like walking, request closer to the Lobby. It can be a hike from the rooms further from the lobby. When you fax your requests, put the most important requests first and then work down. In other words, if non smoking is a MUST, put it first. Then ask for king size bed....... Be SURE to mention that it is your honeymoon in the fax. They usually send a little pixie dust your way for such occassions. Don't be demanding or condensending in your fax. These are just regular people reading them and assigning rooms - sugar goes a long way!

For locations, Arusha rock has the best views, but it can get a little noisy being on the main hall. Perhaps ask to be more towards the end of Zebra Trail if you don't mind the walk. Less people have to go by to get to the elevators, lobby, etc. so it is somewhat quieter. We were on one of the small off shoot halls of Zebra Trail. I liked it very much, but some people don't like the view as much from these rooms. Zebra Trail puts you closer to the pool laundry and The Mara for drink refills. (The coffee at AKL is not to be missed!)
