One night on our vacation, my wife and I will be going out to dinner (parents our watching the kids, and have use of a car if necessary) to Bistro de Paris (Epcot) for dinner than we want to go to Pleasure Island afterwards. We are staying at GF. what would be the recommended way to get to Epcot from GF than go from Epcot to PI and then back to GF. Are there buses from Epcot to PI? Also would really not like to drive, but would if it saves a lot of time. Also, if I drive, where to I park for Epcot? Thought of parking at Boardwalk then walking through the International Gateway to France. I'm sure there are many creative possibilites, can someone suggest some.:D

If you are going to partake adult beverages at PI, then I suggest you use Disney transportation. You can take the monorail from GF to EPCOT (transfer at TTC). From EPCOT you'll have to go to a resort since I don't believe there are busses from theme parks to DTD. You could exit through the International Gateway and get a bus at the Beach Club to DTD. From DTD, you can get a bus back to the GF.

To get to Bristo de Paris from the GF, you might consider a bus to MGM and then the boat from MGM to the International Gateway. France is the first country right of the International Gateway. Then take the boat to YC/BC and bus to PI.

The boat ride from MGM to EPCOT takes 25 minutes and the walk to France about 5 min..

I like the idea of a boat ride but 25 minutes seems a long time after a bus ride to MGM. I think the monorail would be much quicker to Epcot. Then should we take the boat to YC/BC for a bus to PI or just walk to YC/BC for a bus to PI?

Take a cab to the Beach Club, closest resort to the Int Gateway, short walk to France. Take cab to PI and decide after you play in PI if you feel like waiting for the bus to GF or simply grab another cab.

PS: Monorail to France is a longggggg walk. Is DW planning on wearing heels ???

The International Gateway is right next to the French pavilion. After dinner I would exit via the International Gateway and take a nice stroll along the canal to the Beach Club Resort. From there I would hop a bus to Downtown Disney. Later you can take a bus from Downtown Disney back to the Grand Floridian.

nuysforgolf, I don't how familar you are with EPCOT. Taking the monorail to EPCOT and then walking to France is a long walk. This is probably the longest walk at EPCOT. I'm not sure if you can walk from the monorail station to France in 25 minutes or less. There is a boat that takes you across the lake at EPCOT, which may help, but that will depend on the wait for the boat.

If you are looking for the fastest way, then take the cab, as mentioned by KNWViking. WDW transportation isn't always fast.

We just got back from our stay at the Dolphin. We took the boat often to MGM and from Epcot. I have a hard time believing the boat ride from MGM to Epcot would take 25 minutes. I would think that 15 minutes would be more like it. Does anyone else know for sure??

swilphil, they announced that it takes about 25 minutes. I timed it from the dock at MGM to the Dock at EPCOT and it took 24 minutes. That was during Feb. of this year.
