Best route to Hoop Dee Doo???

We are planning to be at Epcot prior to dinner at Hoop Dee Doo...what's the best way to get there?

Monorail to MK then boat to FW? Or Bus to FW..then what?

thinking the best bet would be the direct route from Epcot to FW. Why would you want to get yourself on more than 1 form of transportation if you don't have to?

from Epcot----bus to FW then you need to transfer to an internal bus to the Settlement Depot...walk towards the marina and you will find HDDMR. Otherwise you will have to go to MK, take the boat to FW and walk up towards Pioneer Hall (HDDMR is located at Pioneer Hall)

No matter how you go you are going to have to take two forms of transportation.
Bus to FW, then internal bus to Settlement depot.
Bus to MK, WL, or CR, then ferry to HDDR.
Personally, if the weather was nice I'd use the bus to CR, then ferry to HDDR.

Thanks everyone.... If we did a bus to FW...where it drops off there's a stop for an internal bus? Are there multiple internal buses? It's the settlement stop we need, correct?

If the weather is nice I agree about busing to CR or WL ..we love the boat and from the boat I know where HDDR is. I was just confused how to get there by bus.

If you take a bus to FW the bus stop for the internal busses are at that stop too....its the Outpost Depot, (you will arrive at this depot first,) then you take the bus that states Settlement Depot. When you get off the bus, walk towards the marina. There is a map on wdwinfo.com go to Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground, click on map it shows you how the busses run throughout the Campground.

WL & FtW share a bus from Epcot. The bus stops at WL first, then FtW.

It's faster to get off at WL, rather than stay on for FtW. At WL, there is a bus to FtW that goes to same stop at the Settlement Depot as do the internal buses (in fact, it is a FtW internal bus.)

While you may wait a few minutes longer for the bus at WL than at FtW Outpost, it's a shorter ride to the Settlement and you've also saved the extra time on the first bus continuing on to FtW.

I've done HDDR several times and have taken all means of transportation. My preferred method is the boat over to FW. It drops you on the FW beach and its a few steps away to Pioneer Hall. The busses just seem like agony to me but they area easy enough.

The OP is coming from Epcot. If they were to take the monorail to the MK they would need to change at the TTC. From there, they take one of the other monorails to the MK where they could catch the boat to FW. Sounds like a lot of extra time to me. I'd take the bus directly from Epcot to Fort Wilderness and then the internal bus (which are very frequent around HDD time) to the show.

We always take the bus to MK and then get on the boat to the campgrounds. From the boat dock it is a really short walk to Hoop De Do. Allow your self enough time. Really nice, relaxing boat ride.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but I heard there were buses after the show to return people to the different resorts. Is that true? If not, how do I get back POR? Following the suggestions here, I will take a boat from MK. It will be a MNSSHP, so the buses from MK will still be there after the show.

Take the monorail from Epcot to the TTC, switch to the Resort Monorail, get off at the Contemporary. Walk down to the Contemporary dock and take a boat to FW. Definitely the most magical way to go. This is what I would do, no question.

Edited to add: Epcot Monorail to TTC, then the Express monorail to MK then boat to FW is a great choice too (less walking than transferring at the Contemporary) we just like the little resort launch boats from the CR, and walking through the CR too. Either boat scenario would be a fine option though!

Hmmm, I dont see anything about "fewest connections" in the OP's posts, "best" can mean a lot of things. She does specifically ask about the monorail however, and also says, "we love the boat". IMHO all the responses about her transportation options were probably helpful to her in answering her questions, and appear on topic.
