Headed to the park second week of May and looking at heading to Goofy's Kitchen for lunch or dinner one day.

We're very familiar with the layout of the two parks, but haven't ventured into Downtown Disney or over to the Disney hotels at all. What is the best way to get to Goofy's Kitchen? Walk through Downtown Disney? Monorail?

Thanks, friends.

Just walk straight through DTD. You will run right into the DLH There should be signs to let you know where to go. If not, just ask a CM, and they will direct you to GK. The last time I was there was a year ago, and they had walls up all over, so sorry I am a bit sketchy on where it is inside!

Its easy. Just walk straight through DTD to the DL Hotel. Keep walking straight and you'll walk right into Goofy's Kitchen.

How long it takes to walk is difficult to estimate for us because we always seem to get distracted by one thing or another on the way through DTD. ;) I'd guess 10 minutes, perhaps 15.

I would take the monorail, leave the station and head to your right, walk into the hotel and you're at GK. It's extremely easy to do. Since you're likely to be in the parks, if you're in DL take the MR, if you're in DCA walk through the GCH and into DTD and follow the direction to simply walk to the hotel. Either way it's very easy to find.

We did that last year for our dinner at Goofy's kitchen, and my DH complained the whole time because there was a line for the monorail and it wound up being about a 20 minute wait, maybe even a couple of minutes longer. Starting about 10 minutes into our wait and the whole time on the the monorail all I heard over and over was how we would have already been there if we had just walked! :rotfl2::rotfl2: We were staying at DLH and had been walking back and forth every day, and I just wanted to ride the monorail back once before we left. I think it took us about 3 times as long by taking the monorail. If you just want to ride the monorail, it is a good option. If not, it may or may not be depending on the line. It didn't even help our feet being tired because we stood in line for the monorail longer than it would have taken us to just walk back to the hotel. The line isn't always that long though. We've ridden the monorail before and hardly had to wait at all, you just never know.

We rode the monorail when we did our GK breakfast, the wait wasn't bad at all. But, that's a great point about checking the wait time for the MR, it may be better to just walk if you're running a bit behind. :) This would be a time that Mouse Wait would be terribly handy! lol
