Best route to Buffalo?

Sorry if this should be on transportation board, but I figured there were more "experienced" people here.
Anyway, what is the best route to get to Buffalo from Toronto? Mapquest and all the others I try show crossing at Niagara, but I was wondering if Fort Erie might be better?

I am in Buffalo right now as I go to school down here. The shortest route to the airport (I assume that's where you want to go) is crossing over the Lewiston-Queenston bridge. If you want to avoid all the changing of highways and potential confusion of going through the Niagara Falls, US area you can cross over at Fort Erie.

If you cross over at Fort Erie you would take 190 South after the border then I-90 East to 33. 33 West will take you to airport.

I have a school break next week so we are flying out of Buffalo next weekend.

This is my route from downtown T.O. Keep following the QEW all the way to the very end.

I would recommend Ft Erie. You avoid actually going through Niagara Falls and Queenston always seems to have the longest wait.

Niagara Falls girl here (grew up there, now live in T.O.). Absolutely use the Peace Bridge through Fort Erie, you do not want to use the Niagara Falls bridges. Not only is it longer to get to them along the Niagara River on the U.S. side, but the traffic can be a nightmare. The Peace Bridge leads right onto the QEW, much more direct. Take Fort Erie.

I agree with the Peace Bridge. 404 or 400 to 401 to 403 to qew and take that to the Peace bridge. When you come off the bridge you will goto the booths. when you leave them you will have to turn right to get to the I190 take that to I90. then im not sure if your driving down or just to the airport. Enjoy your trip.

I agree with crossing at the Peace Bridge. It is the easiest way to go and quick too!

Absolutely cross at Ft. Erie - Peace Bridge.

The waits at Q-L are WAY too long - I waited 3 hours in September!!

Peace Bridge!

Plus you don't have as many tolls to pay and you are going faster since you are still on the Canadian side longer.
