Best route advice

We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge in October. It will be the kiddos (6 and 3) first Disney trip.

I am trying to figure out a couple transportation solutions before I arrive.

Issue 1
Wilderness Lodge to Polynesian for Ohana Breakfast at 7:50a.
-- Best route? How long will it take?


Issue 2
Wilderness Lodge to Downtown Disney early evening.
-- Best route? How long?

I am just trying to know what to plan for making some reservations.

For #1, if you have a car, I'd just drive between WL and Poly. The drive would be 5 minutes or less, each way, and extremely easy. If you don't have a car, it becomes more complicated. If the boats are running that early (doubtful), you could boat from WL to MK and then catch a Poly boat at MK. I'd budget 30-40 minutes or so for this. I would say you could also take a boat from WL to CR and catch the resort monorail there, but they are going to more restricted monorail hours soon, and I think 7:50 is outside those hours. To make it simpler, I'd just make a later ADR for Ohana, when you can be sure the boats are running (maybe 30-45 minutes later).

For #2, I'd just take a bus from WL to DtD. Normally, I'd say drive to DtD, but they have the parking lot so screwed up at DtD that parking is an unbelievable PITA. I'd budget about 45 minutes for the bus ride. It's not a long trip, but buses to DtD are less frequent than other buses.

Thank you. I am not planning to rent a car. Later dining is not available. I am guessing it'll be a cab one-way. Then on to AK via bus once breakfast is over.

It is just too early for Disney transportation.
