We visited 7/2 - 7/13. We were in #629, opposite side of building from pool. Construction was not noticable. But, I have to say that this is the noisiest place, regardless of being close to the pool or not. People running down the corridor, yelling, banging on doors, bouncing basketballs (above us!) - and this is well after 11:00 p.m. (We hit the parks early and usually try to go to bed around 10:00 p.m.) I never actually heard "pool noise", but rather the after the pool closes uproar. We stayed free with Priority Club points, so I can't look the gifthorse in the mouth, but I really would never pay to stay here. Perhaps this was just a bad luck occurence, but HIFS was too rowdy for my tastes. It seemed kids were running wild - I would assume they were not being supervised by a parent or the parents simply didn't care to remind them to show a little consideration for those who may be sleeping (or trying to!). I prefer a subdued atmosphere over this place! Luckily there are many other places we can use our Priority Club points!
Sorry, I guess I am not much help with regard to your question, but thanks for letting me get that off my chest. We were happy with the room size and location of #629, but you just can't control the actions of others! Hopefully, you won't experience the same!
