We don't usually take time to browse the shops after exiting a ride, but for our Thanksgiving trip the kids are saving up and want to do some shopping (DD 15 and DS 6). I seem to remember Pirates having a fairly large one. Also, the little shop that is outside HM had a miniature playset my DS wanted, but we said maybe next time. Has anyone purchased this and is it fairly durable. Do any other rides/attractions have similar models? My DH said he thought he saw a tree model at AK.
Some of what you are talking about (the Tree of Life) are the accessories to the monorail sold at many of the WDW shops. One of the best shops on property is the Mickey's Mart(I think that's still the name) in Tomorrowland. You can see the shop from the TTA, although the ride doesn't actually empty out into the shop (like Test Track at Epcot).
