As everyone in my family loves good ribs, I am wondering if they are pretty much the same wherever you go on Disney property, of if there are are some better places to go for the really good stuff.

I'm not sure about "best ribs" but I hear that Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom has a rib meal that's one of the best deals on property.

We really enjoy the ones at Flame Tree Barbecue. We've read good things about the ones at the Sci-Fi. We had them at the WCC and would not recommend them to anyone (DH got sick on them).

DH loves the ribs at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Also the ribs at Cosmic Rays were pretty good. I don't care for them, but the sample I did try was good.

I'm sure there will be some who disagree, but we thought the ribs at Cape May Buffet (dinner buffet) at the Beach Club were fantastic !! :cool1:

Trail's End Buffet and the Hoop Dee Doo. Same kitchen! I thought Flame Tree were dry compared to these.

We're trying Cape May Cafe for the first time in about 10 years next trip, so I'm looking forward to comparing.

The last time we ate at Flame Tree we were SO dissapointed. Practically the entire rib was fat and grissol, not meaty at all. I actually had to toss them because I just couldnt eat it. The previous times we ate there, they were fabulous! Guess it's hit or miss. We love ribs, so we are trying WCC this time around at a TS, and hopefully they are delicious... and if there are a few that are fatty, we can just get another skillet and not feel guilty about leaving the fatty ones.

I've eaten ribs at 5 places in the World and hundreds of others in the world, and I rank them as follows:
1.Flame Tree Barbeque-tender, great sauce, not overcooked
2.Hoop de doo- a little saucy but firm and tears from the bone easily
3.Cosmic Rays-drier but tasty, and always tender
4.Cape May-the sauce isn't my favorite but the meat is excellent
5.Whispering Canyon-on the skillet, the worst but still worthy, have gone back and will again, but the highlight for me here is the incredible brisket.
I've had ribs in Memphis, KC, NC, virtually anywhere in the South/Midwest and the ribs in WDW stand up with all but the very best, which was a place in Chattanooga that moved to Georgia and sadly, disappeared.

In Sept my DH and I split the ribs at SciFi and they were very good. We were on the deluxe plan and with also splitting an appetizer and dessert we were stuffed!

Cosmic Rays!! :thumbsup2 Cosmic Rays has the best ribs in 'The World' - we always wish we could have them at home in NY.

Our new favorite place for ribs is Yak and Yeti. Delish~!

I agree with Yak & Yeti. I got them there Oct 4th and they were absolutely wonderful--very tender and meaty (fall off the bone delicious). I used to like the ones at Flame Tree BBQ, HDDR, Bomas, and Cape May, but the ones at Yak & Yeti blows all the others away. There's no comparison. I also got some really good ribs several years ago at House of Blues. The ones at Turf Club are not bad either (still not as good and meaty as the ones at Yak & Yeti are though).

I believe someone posted that the ones at Whispering Canyon were bad. I agree! We all got sick the night we ate there, plus they had way too much fat on them.

I havent tried anywhere else for ribs, but the ones we had at Yak and Yeti were amazing!

Flame tree BQ for sounter service

WCC for table service, they were both good

:)
