I apologize, I know this thread is probably on here already, but what are the best restaurants to go to while at Disney? I am going in late August with my boyfriend, and was hoping to make a couple dinner reservations at the Disney parks. Any tips would be helpful.

I am a total sucker for the California Grill timed so that you can watch the fireworks in MK. It is very expensive, but the food is awesome and IMHO it is romantic. If you have the $$, it is a must.

Crystal Palace is a good buffet and I'm not even much of a buffet person.
We enjoy Kona Cafe for supper at the Grand Floridian. I think it is overlooked by people.

Enjoy your trip! I never went as a grown up without kids. While taking kids is a special joy, I am also looking forward to going with just grown ups some day!

what are looking for a nice sit doewn meal? if so which park will you be going to a lot? for ecpot france or rose and crown.
mgm the brown derby if you want a fun then 50's Prime time
MK Tony's

We are going to go to all four Disney parks, but I am not sure which one we will be at the most. We are going without kids, so I was thinking we would do two sit down dinners. I was looking at the one that is in down town Disney I think....it is themed like the restaurant from the Lady and the Tramp.

That is Tony's at Magic Kingdom

Epcot- Teppan Edo
MK - Tony's
DHS - Mama Melrose
AK ? - BOMA - not in the park at AKL but great buffet and just a visit to AKL is eye opening. Since AK closes earliest we always get an early ADR, leave from AK to AKL, enjoy dinner then leave from AK to a destination for fireworks or back to the room for R & R

The best two Disney signatures are Flying Fish and Jiko. A more adult meal would be bluezoo at the Dolphin (by Epcot). Both Flying Fish and bluezoo are close to Jellyrolls if you were planning to go there one evening for nighttime entertainment.

I would skip CG unless you want sushi. They have recently changed chefs and the menu now seriously features the sushi. If you do like sushi, it's very good and a great variety.

Ragland Road at DTD is a fun place. A fun buffet with lots of interesting choices would be Boma. My favorite character meal is Tusker House breakfast at AK because there is good food variety.

I'll be there w my DBF at the same time :lovestruc

So I'm very interested in this too! Thanks!!

With all the votes for CA Grill... what are your thoughts on the appropriateness of bringing children there...???

DW and I went three or four times without kids, and here are some of our favorite sit-down dinner places:

MK - Take the monorail to GF and eat at Narcoossee's, or catch the water taxi to WL and eat at Artist Point

Epcot - In the World Showcase, try Le Cellier (Canada), Teppan Edo (Japan), or Coral Reef in the front of the park. You can also take the water taxi (or walk) to the Boardwalk area and try Yachtsman's Steakhouse at the YC or Flying Fish right on the Boardwalk.

DHS - We really like the Brown Derby

AK - Hop on a bus to the AKL and eat at Jiko

Good luck, and have a great time! The wonderful thing about the sit-down food at Disney is that it is all very good. You can't go wrong!

At the resorts, our family liked California Grill and Citrico's. In the parks, we enjoyed The Hollywood Brown Derby, Le Cellier and The Coral Reef. The Crystal Palace buffet was pretty good, too. The food was just okay at The Garden Grille, but the character interaction was very good, (do they still have character meals?)

Have a great trip!
