What are some of your best deals/experiences for kids meals outside Disney property?

As far as food and price is concerned, my family and I really enjoy going to Friendly's and Perkins. We go there every time we have visited the area.

My DS(11) and his friends love the Worlds Largest McDonalds on International Drive. They also like NBA City, Buffalo Wing Cafe, Cafe TuTu Tango and Margarittaville.

We're looking for somewhere near Cypress Pointe/Disney Quest to go for a breakfast/early lunch before Disney Quest. DH and I would want breakfast food and the kids(12 & 9) would want lunch food. We'd be going around 9:30am-10am. Can anyone recommend something?

Another place my son enjoyed was Jungle Jims at the Crossroads...sort of a cheesy Rainforest Cafe...had a real helicopter mounted on the ceiling with a Jungle feel...the food was good for burgers...they are huge! My DH and myself could have shared one...and the best thing about it is right nest door is an ice cream parlor that has about the best homemade ice cream ever!

From an Italian family, we all loved it. There are lines at night, but the prices are unbelievably fair, food very good and varied and kids meals are I think $3.99 (drink & ice cream wiith sauce included).....

Better then majority of restaurants at Disney. Don't believe me check Zagats!!!!

Sometimes I think buffets are best for kids because you don't always know what they will like to eat and buffets offer a good selection. Problem: Buffets can be expensive..........................Answer??

SWEET TOMATOES! Fresh food, fast....because it's a buffet. Salads, soups, breads (all kinds including pizza), and pasta...........and for dessert, a soft ice cream bar. Their website will tell you what they are serving on any particular day.

But the best part is the price. For lunch: Adults $6.99, children age 6-12 $4.49, chidren age 3-5 $1.49 and 2 and under free. At least these were the prices as of last Sept. It does not include drinks, though.

Our family ate all this fresh food for $26. That's hard to beat! :cool1:

I'd say Golden Corral. $2 more then others, but better choice and quality. Love their cinnamon buns.....
