Best Restaurant to watch Illuminations

What is the best restaurant to watch Illuminations from? What time should we make ADR's for? Finally, how do you get seat where we can actually see them. Its it first come first serve on the ADR's

Rose and Crown is really the only restaurant with a great view.You can ask for a seat on the patio when you check in, but they may or may not honor it.They may tell you you need to take the next available table.However they do allow all the restaurant patrons to go out on the patio for them.

You cannot count on an Illuminations view seat in any restaurant.

The only two with greater access to very good views are Rose & Crown and La Hacienda de San Angel. Neither can guarantee a seat with a view.

If it's your first time watching Illuminations I would really recommend that you not try to do it from a restaurant. If it's not the first time and you just want the restaurant, you can try asking at the podium if they will let you wait for a seat with a good view. They might, but if they are very busy they probably will not.

Rose & Crown has an outdoor viewing area for patrons seated inside the restaurant. It's not on the patio where the tables are. It's a fenced area to the left of the restaurant.

Tokyo Dining has a large window view that you would be able to see well, but it's up in the air with availability of those seats.

The view from the restaurants is no better than the view anywhere around the lake. The two restaurants that you can see Illuminations from are Rose and Crown and La Hacienda de San Angel. However, you are not guaranteed to get a table that has a view. I would suggest that you pick a restaurant in the world showcase that appeals most to you. Schedule so you will be done before Illuminations starts and will plenty of time to get a spot.

Please do not select a restaurant with the idea of viewing IllumiNations from your table if that will be your only chance to see the show for quite a while, and unless you are simply looking for a new perspective/experience and will be content with the chance that you will not get a good table for the show.

Rose and Crown, waterside table cannot be beat. Even if you get an inside table, you can stand next to the water and see it all! It is the best!

Yes, unless the winds are wrong and blows all the eye watering smoke right into you. This happened to us one time and we had to leave the area. Before that happened the view was great!
