Best restaurant to dine to see M.K. fireworks

Where is the best place to dine to see the fireworks at M.K.?? Is it hard to get a reservation at this time of the evening in the restaurants. thanks!!!

the absolute very best would be california grill at the contemporary. the next very best would be narcoossee's at the grand floridian. well, the hard part is second-guessing as to when fireworks will be held. since you can book these 90 days out and the parks schedule is usually not posted that far out, it is a guess as to when. but i would definitely be on the phone 90 days out to reserve. good luck!

Tink, I'd say either the Plaza Restaurant or Tony's, because they're both right off Main Street. I don't know if either give you a view from inside (does that glassed-in area at Tony's? Can't remember), but you could dash out on the street at the appointed time.

I don't think PS's would be a problem either place, if they take 'em that late.

Duh ... I just assumed you'd be in the park. California Grill and Narcoosee's, for sure.

I personally think Ohana is the best because you are directly in front of the castle. This is even a more important aspect because of the ground fireworks in Wishes. When they start the lights will dim and the music is played throughout the restaurant. We've always scheduled our PSs about 45 - 1 hour before the fireworks.

I agree. There's another thread going about this, and we don't like the views from the Contemporary or the Grand Floridian because of the weird angles. From the Polynesian, the fireworks appear right behind the castle, as they do from Main Street.

Based on this thread I made a PS 9:10pm for 'Ohana's . This will be our first night in Disney.

However the PS operator told me that you CAN'T see the MK fireworks from 'Ohanas.

Am I missing something here????

Not all of the tables at Ohana's have a view of the fireworks. We sat in between the windows and the open kitchen, and were able to see most of the fireworks.

My favorite is Cal Grill. We always book our PS for exactly 1 1/2 hours prior to the fireworks and show up early. We then ask for a window view and assure the hostess that we are will to wait. We then grab a cocktail at the bar and before you know it, we have our seat. We do this every year and I've never been disappointed. Plus, it's the best food in all of WDW.
