Best Restaurant @ MGM

Loved Prime Time Cafe for the atmosphere- food was ok, but we're picky eaters.

Trying Sci-Fi on saturday so I'll have a review on the burgers and shakes myself! Not expecting too much but who can really ruin a burger?

Loved Prime Time and we didn't even have one of the good servers. I think we saw her once but the server sharing her space was so fun it didn't even matter. Brown Derby had an off day the day we were there. Salad was very watery, had a drink spilled on my back that the CM never even acknowledged, even after my DH mentioned it, Grapefruit cake was dry. The flavor was okay but the cake and icing were not moist. I'd try it again though it is a really pretty place.

I also love Studio Catering Co. for couter service. great gyro wraps.

We love Mama Melrose at MGM. :teeth: Unfortunately, it's really the only TS restaurant we enjoy at MGM since they cancelled the H&V character breakfast & lunch.

Brown Derby is very popular, but the menu really doesn't interest us. :)

I'm really hoping there's some truth to that rumor going around about bringing back a character meal to MGM!!! ::yes::

We frequently leave MGM to eat & return later in the day.

Yes - that Cobb salad and just the best fillet mignon ever! For me - BD is the place to go for food and "adult" atmosphere without the entertainment factor. The sense of Hollywood history also always hits my nostalgia button, adding to the enjoyment.

We love Sci Fi. It's such a fun place to eat, and the burgers, onion rings, and shakes are really good.

Sci Fi for me which goes to show you how un-gourmet I am! We did try Hollywood Brown Derby and the food was exceptional and its beautiful on the inside but I missed eating a greasy reuben in a car watching corny movie flicks! I just love the burgers, sandwiches, fries and shakes at Sci Fi and the price is right too.

We really enjoyed PT. But stay away from orderring green beans unless you are really hungry or really really like them. because you get lots! We had a blast with our 5 kids. 9-14. Mom got to get her picture with the server since they have/ had the same name. (usually mom takes the picture). Food was delicious and DS -9 thot that the dessert menu on the view-finder was worth mentioning.

The Brown Derby, definitely. We love the atmosphere and the great food. It felt relaxing.

We loved the 50's Prime Time Cafe and Sci-Fi. We have teenaged sons, so they just fit their tastes. Will probably go to PT when we are there in March.

Definately Brown Derby. It was our favorite restaurant we ate at the whole trip only next to Blue Zoo. We liked it so much we went back a second time. We both had the Orechiette with pesto truffle sauce and it was wonderful!

The Prime Time Cafe. The theming is great, the food is GREAT, the dessert is great, the waiters/waitresses are great. It's overall...great.

If you go there, try the S'mores dessert.

the Orechiette with pesto truffle sauce
Oh, yes, that is one of my favorites. <drool>

My other fave is the coconut crusted tofu. Yum!

Oh, and my third favorite is the champagne. :cool1:

We like Mama Melrose, it was nice to have something besides Red Meat at WDW. I took alot of thinking when making our dining plan so we had some variety.

The Brown Derby is my favorite. Mama Melrose was hit and miss when we ate there. Not too impressed with the food. PTC is fun, but the antics can get a little old after a while. Never been to Sci-Fi. I've read that's hit and miss too.

I like Sci-Fi but never did try the Brown Derby. Mama Melrose's is good, but something about the amotsphere at sci-f is great. The milkshakes are good too. Prime Time is annoying.
