Best Restaurant in WDW

We have not eaten at Jiko yet even though we always say we're going to. We keep going back to all our favorites and maybe one new one on every trip. You have all convinced us we have to try Jiko next.

Our favorites are Jikos, Yachtsman Steakhouse and Coral Reef. Just thinking about them is making me drool. Now I have to wipe up my keyboard.;) Now if you just wanted dessert ... Beaches and Cream's No Way Jose sundae.:cool1:

:thumbsup2 The Brown Derby

At the same time...need to eat at the
rest of them to be fair...post this thread
again in another 10 years and I'll get
back to you!:rotfl2:

I have had a great meal and great service at California Grill the only time I dined there.

I've been to Flying Fish three times - the first time was awesome. The second time was not as good. The third time was better than the second, not as good as the first.

Dined at Jiko once - my husband loved the food, but agrees we had subpar service. I didn't enjoy what I ordered.

Our last meal at Narcoossees was OK, not fantastic, but a while ago. Even longer back we had a GREAT meal there.

Artist's Point was good when I was there in October. Service was unobtrusive, food was good.

Some of my opinons on the meal are colored by the company I had - the first meal at Flying Fish and the meal at Cailfornia Grill were with my family - the kids were in a great mood, we all had a great time. The Jiko meal the kids did fine with, but weren't excited to be there. The Narcoossee's meal was our first time bringing young kids to a signature place - Narcoossee's is a good choice for that, but I ended up feeling constrained by the amount of time my kids were willing to give to the meal as preschoolers. The last Flying Fish meal I had misbehaving friends with me - the food wasn't as good as the first time, the service was poorer, but had we not had the friends we had with us, it might not have been as disappointed.

We have three favorites, and I'm hard pressed to pick one of those three over the other two, so here they are in no particular order:
JIKO
ARTIST POINT
TEPPAN EDO

I think if really pressed, I'd choose Teppan Edo over all, but the other two are really close too. We go to them for different meals.

You can't go wrong with Le Celliar, Kona Cafe or the Coral Reef, they are our favorites. (Biggest factors: value, kid friendly, menu choices, fantastic desserts)

Citricos anyone? :confused3 We always have a wonderful meal at Citricos and I love their wine pairings. :lovestruc

We also love Jiko, California Grill, and Artist Point. Blue Zoo is good as well, and probably has the best atmosphere next to Jiko. CG can get too loud, so we always go for the 1st seating of the night when it's quiet and get to see a beautiful FL sunset over the castle. :cloud9:

It's not mentioned on this board a lot but I like House Of Blues for atmosphere and food. I get the jambalaya everytime. Hubby loves their brick oven pizzas. LOVE their Rosemary Cornbread!

It's not a fancy place but we like sitting on the porch with a drink and people watching while we wait for a table. Also neat decor inside.

My DH and I loved Yachtsmen Steakhouse (Yacht & Beach Club Resort) we had Yun as our server! We will down there again in Sept. and will be eating there again and asking for a Yun. Jiko would probably be our second favorite, loved the food and the atmosphere! O'Hana's was a disappointment the last time there; they have discontinued the fried wontons and our service felt a bit rushed. Just talking about Disney food is making me real hungry and very excited for our trip to get here!!:yay:

The only one that stands out in my memory from our 2002 trip (except for your excluded Victoris & Albert's) was Teppan Edo. We're going again in 9 days. I'd love to try some of the others people have listed but could not get ADR's for any except California Grill. We were hoping to try Le Cellier...
