We are going again in Feb and wanted to book a nice restaurant.

We've eaten at CA Grill, Le Cellier (sp) and a lot of middle of the road restaurants. Excluding Victoria & Alberts, what do you consider the hands down best restaurant at WDW and why?

My vote is for Flying Fish at the boardwalk. Great service, terrific food and nice wine list.

No question - Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's fantastic!

We've done almost all the signature dining and I think I'd vote Flying Fish for the overall experience - but I've also really enjoyed my meals at Artist's Point and Jiko.

It's hard because they keep changing the darn desserts. I was heartbroken to lose coffee three ways at AP.

We were deisappointed in Flying Fish last Dec...it was good but far from great. We would vote for CA grill or Narcoosee's. Or for single credit Teppan edo or Ohana.

The results of a recent 64-restaurant "tournament" on another DVC board (in which over 50 members participated) were:
1) California Grill
2) Jiko

My personal vote (weighting "value" pretty highly) is Kona Cafe.

I don't know how many people are going to agree with me...
but my wife and I LOVED The Brown Derby at DHS. I had the fish and it was so awesome. The service was phenomenal too.

We were also fans of the Turf Club Bar and Grill at SSR. The flank steak was so flavorful and juicy! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! YUM!

My wife and I LOVED...

the Brown Derby at DHS
Turf Club Bar and Grill at SSR

Jiko!

I found it better then any of the others discussed here (including California Grill)

We did Jiko about 6 years ago and I don't remember much about it. Maybe we need to do it again!!;)

Over the last 7 years, we've dined at most of the restaurants on property. Most are very good.

For lunch, Cabana Bar & Grill at the Dolphin. With the 20% DVC discount, it's even better. Wonderful food and service. Our last trip, we had a private cabana overlooking the pool. We were even given heated towels when it started to rain.

I know of no other place where you can get a soft-shell crab on toasted brioche for $10. My wife loved it. The asian 3 noodle salad was definately fresh made noodles. This place is a real gem.

My #1 favorite is Jiko--- LOVED the scallops!!!

And we really enjoyed Artist Point!!

We do Jiko every trip....Period.
Also, last trip we did Bisto....very good but expensive.
We also like Brown Derby, Yachtsman, Le Celleir and California Grill, no specific order.
We never did Flying fish or anything at the Grand Floridian.

We really enjoyed the Big River Grille on the Boardwalk. :thumbsup2 Granted it's not signature dining however, the meals we had and having outside seating on the Boardwalk made it an awesome dining experiance!
