We are taking our 4 year old princess obsessed daughter to Disney in February. We have an ADR for a CRT breakfast early one morning and I'm looking for a good dinner spot for our first night in Disney on Feb 9th. I'm really hoping this is a Pirate and Princess night (did I mention she loves princesses?) and I'm keeping that in mind when making ADRs.

I have an ADR for Tony's but I've never eaten there and I've read some poor reviews. The menu I've seen online doesn't look the greatest either so I'm fishing for better options/suggestions. But if you love Tony's and think we should give it a try I'd like to hear that too!

Buffets aren't my first pick but I have at least one in the plan and I'm not opposed to them. I'm the picky eater in our group and would eat at the nicer restaurants if it were just me and DH but I want this trip to be really special for DD.

We are staying at the Poly and also have an ADR for WCC another night.

We like Tony's, but we prefer it for lunch as the portions are smaller and we don't like wasting food. I think your daughter would love the Crystal Palace for dinner with Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet or Liberty Tree Tavern with Minnie, Goofy and Chip N Dale. If you don't want characters and just want a nice sit down meal for a table service, the Plaza Restaurant has great sandwiches and CHOCOLATE SHAKES!

My personal favorite for dinner is CP. Tony's has been pretty awful recently, I would rather eat CS than eat there.

None of the ones in the park will set your world on fire- but if i had to choose, I would do the CP. Tony's is nasty IMO

I'd try Crystal Palace. It is bright and cheerful and great for that age. We went for lunch and the food was pretty good. My DD was 4 when we went and it was her favorite meal of the trip.

Tony's, on the other hand, was the worst meal we had on our last trip. I'd just do whatever counter service I could find before I'd do Tony's again.

I like Liberty Tree Tavern. The food was good and the charcters were dressed in old fashioned clothes.

Would you consider taking the boat launch to Grand Floridian for 1900 Park? We did this and took the monorail back. It really didn't take much time and the food was really good. PLUS princess obsessed DD5 got to meet Prince Charming

It looks like I am the lone ranger on this one - but we had a great meal at Tony's. We had dinner there and both me and my daughter really liked the food. We each had an appetizer, entree and dessert and all of it was good.

I had the Chicken Florentine (at the suggestion of our server) and I have to say it was some of the best chicken I have ever eaten. DD had pasta with tomato sauce and cleaned her plate.

We have Tony's on our list of ADRs for our Dec 07 trip.

We also have Tonys on our ADR's in 19 days. A friend of mine just came back on Saturday and ate at tony's she said it was terrific. Good day, Bad day??? I just love Lady & the Tramp so I don't really care about the food, I;ll have a salad

I think the Crystal Palace is a great place to eat for your family. They have a buffet there (which is amazing) and the building looks fabulous! You will doubt that it is a buffet.
And eating in Cinderella's Castle is great for little ones! I happen to love the lunch and dinner they serve there better then the breakfast. If my memory is correct you pick what you want to eat from the lunch and dinner menu. For breakfast everybody gets the same thing. I haven't been there in about a year so they might've changed a few things around. If you are using the dining plan Cinderella's Castle uses two table services if you didn't know that. And the characters are princesses too. THat will make your daughter really happy.!

About Toby's - I'm not a fan of that place at ALL. It's cute how they make the inside of the restaurant look like Lady and the Tramp, but the food is awfull and the service is awfull too!
Both times that my family has been there we had terrible food, and terrible service. Either we got the wrong food, or our food was cold when we got it, or the waiter/waitress were rude and didn't want to do anything if we needed a refill, etc, etc, etc,.
So, I think you should cancell your reservation for Toby's and choose between one of the two the I or somebody else mentioned.

Oh, and The Liberty Tree is a great place for families to go to. It's country style food, REALLY good!

Tony's was just OK for us.

I'd vote for Crystal Palace, followed by Liberty tree tavern.

I'd also echo, if you're willling, that Chef Mickeys (at the Contemporary) and 1900 park faire (at the Grand Floridian) MIGHT be good choices....

...though, to be honest, the reviews at 1900 park faire, since the rehab, haven't been great, and they all mention that the issue is the food. On the plus side, you get dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, evil step mom and the sisters.

Chef Mickey's is always pretty good.....and you get Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Chip and Dale. You daughter would likely be in character heaven!

:)

I haven't eaten at Tony's so can't offer an opinion on that, but I have read some really bad reviews and not been thrilled with the menu either. (However, my brother in law loved it, so who knows?!) My 2 cents is to have dinner at the Poly...Kona and Ohana are both great! And neither are buffets, which is a plus for me, for I am not a fan of them. Have a great time with your princess!princess:

I love CP it's a must for me!!I am also hoping for a P&PP on the 9th, with the park closing at 7pm this might be an issue with getting a ressie! I'm doing CS that day and winging it ,in hopes of THEPARTY!!

I LOVE CP. I vote for that. I do not like Tony's or LTT.
Liberty tree is good if you like Stouffers frozen dinners. Which we do not care for.

Crystal Palace is a tradition for this family! It is a beautiful restaurant and the food is delicious! Definitely something for everyone! Oh yeah, Winnie the Pooh and gang are great too!:thumbsup2

P.S. - Liberty Tree Tavern is very good too!
