I will be in WDW from June 1st. I noticed that there are a lot of restaurants at the World Showcase, to which I know we can't get to all of them. Which one is your can't miss restaurant and what was the can't miss entree? I'd like to have some good suggestions when we get there.

None of the restaurants in Epcot are on my "can't miss list". However, I do like Le Celier in Canada. The atmosphere there isn't the best (feels cramped and crowded) and it's difficult to get reservations, but I like steak and it's pretty good there. I've only had the filet. It's not the best steak I've ever had, but it's not bad either.

I also like Teppan Edo in Japan. Once again, it's good food, but I can get much better at my local Japanese teppan yaki restaurant. If you've never been to a Japanese teppan yaki style restaurant, you'll most likely love the food and the experience and won't know any different.

The atmosphere in Mexico is probably the best out of all the WDW restaurants and the food is pretty good. However, it's not the typical "Americanized" Mexican food that many are accustomed to. I love dining at Mexico just for the environment. I honestly can't remember what I normally get at this restaurant.

Le cellier- steakhouse, but you have to make reservations there right when the time period for reservations open :/ we have reservations on june 2nd for there :D by the way, i have been trying to get those reservations for over 5 years.

japan-Teppan Edo - i love it! they have a hibachi grill area, and a sushi area. really yummy!

morocco i heard you should avoid. i never heard anything but bad reviews from here.

america you can avoid, burgers fries chicken fingers, so blah

akershus in norway is ok, the desert platter is the best part. by the way, there is a princess meet and greet here

italy- Tutto Italia Ristorante - good italian food, expensive but last time i went the waiters were snooty, so it was not a happy experience. my parents remember back a long time ago a better experience than mine, so that was one of their faves.

Germany is awesome! Biergarten Restaurant -they have a buffet of all different german food, and an interactive show(sit on the bottom level to up your chances of getting picked for the show). this place i never needed reservations, we always just walk up and get in quick.

paris- bistro de paris - this is a fine dining experience, never ate there but it looks amazing and expensive.

mexico-San Angel Inn - i heard the mexican food here is ok but has a beautiful setting like you are in the middle of mexico.

The Garden Grill Restaurant - i love this one! it is not in the countries but it is a rotating floor with american style food. disney character meet and greets here :D

Bistro de Paris is a lot better than any of the others. Fine dining, not on the dining plan, it offers excellent food and service in a small intimate setting.

You will have a very difficult time getting any reservations at this point. Biergarten is good and you can usually get a last minute ressy, why don't you try there? My other suggestion would be Bistro de Paris if you are willing to spend the money - the reviews on allears are great and the menu looks really yummy.

My family likes both the take out at Tangerine Cafe and sit down in Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. We've had good food in both and the belly dancers in Marrakesh are fun (especially for my husband and two teen-aged boys). Biergarten is fun and pretty good. I love the fish and chips in England. Chefs de France is just okay...some dinners there have been better than others.

I was a big fan of biergarten as well. Rose and Crown was good, but its pub food which you can get anywhere (not sure if you're looking for variety).

We love a late lunch at Chefs de France. It's a pleasant atmosphere--especially if you score a window side table and their lunch special is reasonable and good! If you plan it well--you just might see Remy:thumbsup2
We've always had good service--though it's not a quick "order/eat/run" sort of place--but that's always been fine for our style of vacationing.

I second Marrakesh--an often overlooked, fun experience and generally easier to get an ADR there.

If we buy the dining plan then we go to Tutto Italia Ristorante for their delicious food. I LOVE their Italian, and since I have no Italian in me whatsoever, I get my fill there! Yum!

Gotta stop by the stand outside of France to get their Grand Marnier Orange Slush. It's deeeeelish! :thumbsup2

DW and I like the Coral Reef for the best seafood and le Cellier for beef. the best restaurants however are thru the gateway and on the boardwalk --Flying Fish for seafood and Yachtman's steakhouse for beef.

Pop

I would suggest taking an easy walk over to the Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, or the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. Both are only a 5 minute walk from World Showcase and both are much better than anything you'll find at EPCOT.

The absolute best restaurant in Epcot is Bistro de Paris upstairs in the France pavilion. It is probably second only to V&A as far as quality of food and service. Of course it is not on DDP and it does not have a children's menu.

Your best option is just to see what's available. Depending on how big your party size is you shouldn't have trouble getting an ADR somewhere. Lunch is usually a little easier to get in for than dinner.

I just checked available ADRs for tomorrow, and there are several places that have availability for both lunch and dinner. I'm fairly certain that availability for the rest of your trip will be similar.

If you want to make sure that you have choices, then call Disney Dining either today or the morning of the day you want to go to make ADRs. You may have some luck as a walk-up, but I personally don't like to risk it.

You can also go online to make ADRs. I prefer this method.
If you indicate which day you're going, that you want to eat at Epcot and which meal (lunch or dinner - Akershus is the only restaurant with breakfast and it will be difficult to get into) it will give you a list of places and times that are still available.

Epcot is usually the easiest place to find a place to eat, simply because it has a large number of restaurants to choose from. It just depends on the kind of places you like.

If you want a recommendation, then mine is the Biergarten. It's a lot of fun.
This week's show times are Daily at 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:45, 5:55, 7:00 & 8:05pm
You'll want to make sure your ADR is before 8:05pm, so you can be sure to see all of the show.

Not what you're looking for but I have to post:

Last week I had the best freshly grilled salmon with a caper/peppercorn sauce for $10. (including 2 sides) at Seasons.
