Best Restaurant for Wishes?

In your opinion, which is the best restaurant for a nice dinner & Wishes (based on food and view)? I am traveling with my parents, who haven't been to WDW in more than 20 years, and my (will be) 17-year-old son. Everyone loves seafood, and all but Dad enjoy good sushi. We will be on the dining plan and expect to use 2 credits for this meal.

Last year we eat at both Ohana's and The Cali Grill. The Cali Grill has an amazing view of Wishes but there was something magically nice about Ohana's, watching it from across the water - it was really quiet in the restaurant at the time and they play the music too.

I never thought about 'Ohana for Wishes. The food is good (dessert is amazing), and it would be nice to only use 1 TS credit. I had no idea that you could see/hear Wishes from there. Thank you!

We ate at Narcoossee's on our trip in early December. You could see Wishes (we happened to be there on a night of Holiday Wishes) and it was a lot of fun. They also played the music and dimmed the lights in the resturant. As an added bonus, the Electric Water Pageant did its show right outside of the resturant.

I don't think there was very much sushi on the menu, but I had the whole steamed lobster and my father had the surft and turf. We both really enjoyed our dinner. The calamari and crab cakes were also really good. Overall, Narcoossee's was our favorite dinner for that trip.

Just as a note, Narcoossee's is a signature resturant, so it takes two credits per person.

Thank you. I didn't think of the Electric Water Pageant. We've never seen that, so it would really be a bonus. Do you remember around what time it goes by there? We're planning to use 2 credits...lobster and surf & turf sound like good ways to use them!

We were there on 12/7/10 and the pageant showed up around 9:15 pm. It's very cute. There are several 'floats' that all start out dark and then one-by-one light up outside on the water. There is a walkway outside the resturant that patrons can go out on to, but when were there it was too cold, so everyone (except me and one other lady) stayed inside.

I'd go with Narcoossee's. The angle from CG bothers me.

hands down, The california grill at the contemporary !!! its on the 15th floor and you get an AMAZING view of the fireworks from magic kingdom. they also have one of the top sushi chefs in the world.(the real world lol)

Hands down, Narcoossees. I do like California Grill, but Narcoossee's is my favorite restaurant in WDW. I have always had excellent service as well as excellent food. The view of Wishes is fantastic and it is quit an experience to be dining and watch the Electric Water Pagent go right past the restaurant.

Thanks, everyone! I think we're going to go with Narcoossee's this trip, since my parents & son all love lobster and we'll be on the dining plan. I'll save California Grill for our next trip when DH comes. He can better appreciate fine dining and sushi, and I think he will really love it!
