Doing one day in MK and one in AK. PArents are coming with us and have told us they'd watch the kids one night so we could have a nice dinner, just DH and I :cool1:

What would you recommend in MK and/or AK? We are not picky eaters, love ethnic food and seafood - could pass on steak (can do that easily at home).

Thanks!

Have only ever eaten breakfast (at Tusker House) in AK, and just ate dinner at MK for the first time last year. We ate at The Plaza Restaurant before MNSSHP. I know I have read some reviews that some consider this a waste of a TS credit, but we really enjoyed it. Yes, it is mostly sandwiches..but the desserts were awesome! We are eating here again next month for lunch, but are trying Tony's for dinner this trip. Have never been, and heard mixed reviews so I hope we are not disappointed! :)

Best dinner restaurant in MK that we have had is Crystal Palace. We are going to try CRT for dinner this year since it now offers the princesses. The cost is expensive, but the menu looks pretty good. Plus, how often do you get to eat in a castle?

For AK, it is a toss-up between Yak & Yeti in the park, or the Rainforest Cafe which is right outside the park entrance.

Like another post said, there are also the signature dining options nearby if you want to travel a bit. There is Jiko at AKL; California Grill at CR; Citricos or Narcossee's at GF; Artist Point at WL; or dinner shows like Hoop de do Review (that includes alcohol) or Luau (Spirit of Aloha?) at Poly.

While not at MK, you could hop the monorail to CR for California Grill. We had a good dinner there - yummy sushi - and a great view of Wishes.

You could also take the monorail to GF for Citricos or Narcoossee's, if you are looking for something more fancy.

I'd go for Narccoosses (save room for the Almond Crusted Cheesecake) outside MK @ the GF, or....

Sanaa at the AKV, outside the AK. Its our new fave.

Well, if you decide to stay in the parks I would say Yak and Yetti in AK. Though I haven't been there yet, I hear the food is great and it seems like a better atmosphere than a buffet which is what you would get with Tusker House or most places in MK.

Like others have said though, why not consider going either to the CR or AKL to eat? Both are much nicer atmospheres and not far from those parks. At AKL you can choose between Boma, Jiko, or Sanna. At CR you could either do the Wave or California Grill.

Have fun!
