Hi there everybody,
We are taking my mother to DLRP at the beginning of April to celebrate her 60th birthday. Needless to say we would like to go out and celebrate will a fantastic meal on her birthday.

I wondered if anybody here could recommend what they think would be a good restaurant to go to. There won't be any kids in our group and she's not really into character dining, so I can rule those place out.

The places I have seen that look most appealing are the California Grill and the Manhattan Restaurant. Can any body give me any feedback or these place, or suggest anywhere else that would be great.

Thanks for your help,
Stephen.

I've only heard good things about Walt's on Main St :goodvibes

I've never eaten there, but I have always heard very positive things about the Manhattan Restaurant. Have a look on the DLP Foodguide and also here for menus and reviews of there, and the California Grill.

Obviously the California Grill has the better view, but the Manhattan isn't quite so outrageously priced!!! :teeth:

I have eaten a couple of times at the Manhattan, and I can only recommend it!
While it's not as expensive as the California Grill, they have the tastiest food, the restaurant is so beautiful and the service is excellent! Once in a while, there is a live piano player, but I have no idea about his schedule.

That's the one thing I am already looking forward to for whenever I'll be back at DLP: dinner at Manhattan!

Stephen from reviews both choices look good adult restaurants.
I'm sure your mum will love either choice :goodvibes

Thanks everybody for your replies. They have been very useful.
I checked out the menus for each restaurant (including Walt's and The Blue Lagoon) and they all looked great.

I showed them to my Mum and she like the Manhattan best, so that's where we'll be going for her birthday meal. She also really like the menu for the Blue Lagoon, so we'll probably catch a meal there as well while we're there.

All I have to do know is make the reservations :)

Thanks,
Stephen.

Try Inventions at the Disneyland Hotel. The food is fabulous. We ate there first of all in 1993 and when we checked back (2005) the food was just as good. Hope your trip goes well!

Manhattan Restaurant is amazing. Best food in the resort.

However, B'day parties should be celebrated with a cake brought by the CM and a Character. Therefor I always do my B'Day party in the Inventions... (I'll stay a kid for ever)

TTFN
enjoy the party
