best restaurant at/near Universal

We are driving from Anaheim up to LA to go to Universal just for the day. Looking for recommendations on a good "themed" restaurant for older kids. Any ideas on restaurants unique to that area? We have a Hard Rock where we live and other big chains, looking for something different.

Bubba Gumps, perhaps?

Saddle Ranch Chop House is sort of "themed" as an old west saloon.

For dessert nearby, there's Disney's Soda Fountain. Excellent ice cream. Nice salads, sandwiches and wraps too.

One of the original Bob's Big Boy restaurant is very nearby. Car hop service in the drive-in area on Saturday and Sunday nights.
