We have two take it easy days with some free time until around 3:00 when we’ll go to a park and want to visit some resorts to see Christmas decorations. I have a late breakfast at 1900 for one day so will see Grand Floridian and lunch at Whispering Canyon on the other day to see Wilderness Lodge. We only have time to visit one other resort each day. Which would be recommended?

The Deluxes with the large, spacious lobbies....Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Jambo, and Grand Floridian are the top 3, IMO.

We're going for the first time in mid December. I've heard the campers at Ft. Wilderness put up a lot of decorations. From the pictures I've seen, some are over the top spectacular. All the deluxes are very nicely decorated.

If you only have one more to choose, I would head over to BC. They do a large, themed chocolate carousel every year and it's beautiful!

If you're at WL you could get the boat over to the campground, although at night it looks really pretty when the lights are on.

BWI is good and you just might fit a quick walk across yo the Y&BC to see their decorations too.

So if you only have time to visit one other resort per day and you are already seeing GF and WL, then I'd go over to the Boardwalk one day because you can easily walk the loop and see BWI, YC, and BC, all of which are gorgeous! For your other day, I'd go to AKL. Besides seeing the decorations there, you could also wander around the resort a bit and see the animals.

BC has a really pretty carousel made of chocolate. But, if you have never seen Ak, Id go there. Have a drink at the bar and watch the animals. Maybe even order the bread service at Sanaa

Definitely go see the life size gingerbread house at the GF....

GF will always be my favorite. I stayed there as they were building the gingerbread house and it was really neat to see them putting it together. They also decorated the entire resort overnight so that was a major highlight of the trip and bittersweet to wake up and see it all done.

All the deluxe resorts are worth a visit and don't really take that much time. I'd do the 4 Epcot resorts in one day, I'm including Dolphin because they have a great chocolate Santa village.

Thanks for the responses! Now I want to visit them all haha. I may try to do BWI, BC & YC after breakfast at GF before heading to HS. Just wasn’t sure how much time those would take. Is the CR worth stopping by? Could maybe add that to the day before lunch at WL. I’d love to go check out the campgrounc one evening but don’t have a free evening we won’t be in a park. Too many resorts not enough time!

That will leave you an excuse to come back to WDW at Christmas time again! :santa:

If you have time while you are doing the Boardwalk loop, stop in at the Swan and check out their display. They usually do a display made of chocolate. It smells amazing!!
