This will be our first trip to DW. :cheer2:

We have 6 kids, so need a room that sleep 8. I'm really hoping to stay onsite, are the 2 bd villa's at the deluxe resorts my only option? Or are we better off to find a suite somewhere off site?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. :thumbsup2

the 2-bedroom villa at the DVC resorts.

OKW, SSR, VWL, BWV, BCV and new AKV.

you can rent from a member and save you some money. Don't rent on fri or sat night - too expensive. you could stay at OKW for around $220 to $308 a night in Sept, Jan - most of Dec.

when are you going? next year then a DVC member might be able to help.

this year - forget it - most of the DVC resorts are booked.

the other places
POR - sleeps 5
FW cabins - sleeps 6
All Star suites - sleeps 6
WDW resort deluxe room - sleeps 5 '

(children under age 2 are not counted)

The absolute cheapest you could do I think is 2 connecting rooms at a Value resort. Connecting Double/Double rooms will serve 8 people, plus 2 children under 3 in pack and plays. I have heard, but have not experienced first hand, that connecting rooms are MORE likely is you have small children, but Disney's official stance is that they cannot guarantee them.

Alternatively, Connecting rooms at Port Orleans (Alligator Bayou) can get you 4 double beds, at least 1 trundle (possibly 2) and 2 children under 3 in pack and plays.

More money will get you the larger suites at the Deluxe.

There are actually suites at Coronado Springs, but I am not familiar with prices.

Good luck!
