We are heading to Disney the week before Christmas. We plan to spend one day resort hopping to look at decorations before heading to MK in the evening for MVMCP. What resorts would you plan to see? We don't want to overdo it as we want to have some down time back at our resort before the party.

We are staying at AK villas so we will already see AKL. We have breakfast on our resort hopping day at Whispering Canyon at 9:30 so we will start there since I heard that decorations are great at Wilderness Lodge. Then we plan to head to the monorail loop resorts and see each of those. Any other must dos?

We did this 10 years ago. We were at Swan and did the monorail loop hotels plus Wilderness Lodge, the Epcot resorts, Beach/Yacht, Boardwalk by then we were ready to do other things. I did enjoy the Coronado Decorations.

WL & GF are my two favorites during the holidays, but the BC/YC/BWI all are also beautifully decorated and are worth a trip to see :santa:.

Yes, WL and GF are my favorites, too. All the crescent lake resorts are gorgeous.

I think you have most of it covered - AKL and WL are beautiful, and you will see those, and GF is the next one I would see, which you will hit on the monorail - giant gingerbread house is amazing, and you can buy a shingle to taste as well! If you want to have downtime before the party, that will probably be plenty to do. Boardwalk resorts all have decor, but you could pop in those through the IG on your Epcot day if you like - Beach Club has a chocolate carousel that is neat.
